You can see him preparing to give his infamous hotline plug, as well as communicating with people in production. It definitely shows the amount of work and time spent to produce a clip what was likely less than a minute of TV time.
Most of all, we see Gene Okerlund simply being Gene Okerluns, as he is still quick witted and dropping jokes to pass the time.
