The bigger issue that people seem to be disregarding to some degree is that if that PPV crowd last night is any indication the Mania crowd in Dallas may crap all over Roman Reigns at his big coronation.

Also, tell me that Roman Reigns doesn't do all the little things right (not great on the mic granted, but passable.)

Aside from when he won it against Sheamus, the crowd has been booing him for awhile now. Pretty much only when he's not with Ambrose. Not really his fault, he's done a good job in the ring and hasn't been terrible on the mic. It's just not natural. Probably a big reason why WWE refuses to reinstate Bryan, even though he is probably going to ask for his release if they don't pretty soon. They don't want the fans cheering for him over Reigns like last year.

People were popping for Triple H until the final two, and booing Roman, most noticeably after Triple H came out at 30.

A segment of the fanbase seems like they will boo him no matter which I think is crazy, but whatever.  In spite of that he was still getting generally positive responses until last night.  That crowd was all over him.  ATL is a friendly city to him, but that crowd at Survivor Series was much more aggressive towards him than the Raw crowd in July.  I say that as someone who was at both events.

Dylan Waco/Hales put it like this which is to the point, HHH latched onto emotionally crippled drug addicts, ruined careers, cut nuts off stars, nepotism beneficiary.Reigns got a push. "Smart fans"

That's what I am saying and I'm not sure they can make Roman palatable enough or Triple H detestable enough to the Mania crowd in 10 weeks.  We can argue that there are no "Internet fans" or "IWC" or whatever anymore, but like my situation in ATL it seemed to me that there was a difference between a Raw crowd and a PPV crowd.

...and to Dylan's point in that Tweet you turn on Roman to root for...Triple H.  That makes zero sense whatsoever.  Of all guys to rally behind because you think Roman Reigns has gotten an undeserved push you rally behind Trips?!?!  That's hilarious.

This pop is nuts.

Based on that video, WWE did a disservice by keeping the camera on Roman's face looking bewildered.

In context I think it worked better than it looks in hindsight.  You heard the music and knew it was someone you didn't know and Roman's look conveyed that same feeling.

HHH has redeemed himself in recent years with NXT and putting over some guys, but his resume will always be tainted. He literally slept his way to the top and I'm still not convinced he isn't gay after being with Chyna PRE-surgeries.

I need an editor, but here are my thoughts on the Royal Rumble show last night.  Not a ton of new ground covered exactly, but you may want to take a look.

I mentioned it with Zandrax while we watched the Rumble last night and I think it applies for part of the reason Roman get's booed still despite doing pretty good the last few months.

It partially comes down to the lower titles.  In the old days you earned the IC Title or some other mid card title before you were ever in the Main Event picture.  It was a stepping stone that showed you had something better than the others.  They even talk about the IC Title on commentary that way.  However, now a days you can show up and completely bypass that and go straight to the main event and challenge for the big title as Roman has done, Ryback has done, Rollins had done (granted he had a briefcase to help), etc.  There's no building them there's just we like him he's in the Main Event now.

That's a good point.  A run with a lower title would have helped get him ready for that level too.
