Sheamus comes out to cash in but Kane comes out. Kane chokeslams Rollins, but then also gives one to Sheamus and then tombstones Rollins for good measure.

So Sting is 0-2. One match against a corporate guy, and one against a guy who had already wrestled a 20 minute match.

Not only that, Sting was whisked away so post match shenanigans could commence.

Did Sting legit get hurt on that buckle bomb?

My hunch is doubtful. It seemed like it was an attempt to bring "reality" in.

Stupid place to bring 'reality' back in. Vince could have let Sting win the WWE title and have his one WWE moment before riding off into the sunset. Instead, more pettiness from Vince to 'prove' that WCW wrestlers are never as good as WWE 'superstars.'

Meltzer is reporting that the injury is legit.

Other than the brief stoppage, Sting looked really good and the finish protected him IMHO.

Meltzer is saying a neck injury. I think it looked like he was blown up to the point he could no longer move properly.

It wasn't "reality," you could literally hear Seth Rollins call the entire rest of the match after the turnbuckle bomb.

Rumor has it that it's serious enough that his in-ring career is over too.  If legit, I hate that.  Not so much because he'll be out of the ring (that was coming soon enough), but that he's going to have to deal with a serious injury this close to retirement.

I would have loved to have seen him with even a short token title run as a nod to his career and to have actually accomplished something in WWE. This blows if it's true.

Well shucks, shows what I know. I didn't notice the called spots.

I wonder if the injury changed the match finish.

I don't think it changed the finish as in who wins or loses, but it definitely changed the finish in terms of how quickly it was executed and the moves leading up to it, and perhaps even the way Sting lost.

Anyone catch the fan run-in during the Ambrose/Reigns vs. Wyatts tag? Some people online were convinced it was Drake Younger (he's the ref on NXT who refs most of the women's matches, and he's a former hardcore indie rassler, but I'm sure everyone here knows this!). It did kind of look like him.

Anyway, he just tweeted "It wasn't me."

Thought that was funny.

LOL!

WWE is going to have to get more careful about this. One of these days someone is going to get legit hurt. There is no way a fan should make it to the ring. And Reigns needs to stop coming out through the crowd.

With the age of lawsuits, I don't foresee a wrestler doing like what Kevin Nash and Scott Hall did during a fan run-in. Not to mention there's no way of knowing if the fan is carrying a concealed weapon.

But yeah, the WWE needs to do something about their Keystone Kops security team.

I'm meaning that a wrestler is going to get hurt. Sorry that wasn't clear. Someone's gonna jump into the ring and stab someone or whatever... it almost happened to Ambrose already.

The Buckle Bomb is a relatively safe move. Not a lot of momentum and you're just going into the turnbuckles.

He's old and shitty. Possibly older and shittier than shitty old Chris Jericho.

He is in good shape for his age. He did pretty good for his age. He still can't lock in the Scorpion Death Lock though. Like, at fucking all.

Fuck...Sting  :-\ Edit: I just saw the footage. It doesn't take Dave Meltzer's verification to prove that Sting is hurt...badly  :-X That move isn't safe at all...I mean wtf. I don't know how he finished the match.

In this particular case, it was probably cuz he was fucked up.

They're making an example out of the latest one. So unless they get a real Travis Bickle type, this should dissuade other casual jumpers, cuz according to PWInsider, the fan from Sunday has to spend 10 days in jail, and if the case had gone to trail he could have spent six monhs in prison. I don't think prison rape is worth standing next to Roman Reigns awkwardly on TV.
