I probably hadn't been to that site in about 10 years. I just went over there and it looks like it turned into a Wordpress blog. It used to be one of the bigger wrestling sites out there.  What happened to it? Is it that wrestling's popularity went down so the dirtsheet websites are suffering as well?

I thought 1wrestling limped along with Bill Apter for a long while after Scherer (?) started PWInsider.

Apter and Joey Styles ran it for a while I believe until Styles got hired by WWE.

EDIT - Looks like Apter is still there

Well then I guess we won the war over 1wrestling  ;)  I don't know if this deserves its own thread or not(probably not), bu I wonder how many people here used to post on 1wrestling before Janitor started this place 15 years ago.

I never posted on their boards, but read it daily.  First one I ever signed up to discuss wrestling on was 411 Wrestling which became 411 Mania.  Then it was here, and eventually WCMB.

I tried to get back onto WCMB around the same time I got back on over here with a new email, username, and IP I'm pretty sure and got the old approval denial email that you used to would get on forums for whatever reason when they first hit the internet. Those head cases over there make the old 1wrestling guys look like Mr Rodgers. I did always like the forum as a reference tool though. You can find infprmation on anything by searching their archives.

To be honest I never had a problem with 1wrestling. I just remember getting an AOL IM about A1, and saw a bunch of ex-1Wers there. Never really looked back after that.

Yeah, even if you hate that crowd at WCMB there is a ton you can learn over there.  Great resource even if you never post.
