I'd say it picked up with Rock interacting with the fanboys dressed up in the front row!

Rock and New Day had a classic segment.  Rock and Usos vs. New Day at Mania.

Yeah once he made it to the ring it was great. It was that backstage stuff that wasn't.

I can't get quote to work on my iPad ATM, but the fans were chanting about Macho Man and them in the front row getting moved. None of the heat from the crowd during that match was directed at the ring.

So, not only is Roman Reigns still employed for no seeable reason, but HHH books him against Ambrose and Lesnar for the title at Mania? So........HHH wants to fight Lesnar? I don't understand any of this. I know they have to get to Reigns/HHH, but this was just handed to him.

That's the underlying issue with having heel authority figures.  By and large they could just say, "I'm not giving that guy anymore opportunities at the title" and that would be that.  I justify it in my mind the same way you look at a comic book or James Bond villain.  They are arrogant and feel they can start these complicated plans that will make the face suffer even more so that's what they do.  They figure they'll turn Ambrose and Reigns on each other and Lesnar will punish both of them anyway.  Now Trips wanting Lesnar makes no sense other than he's got an ego.

I am going to toss this out there because I am one of the biggest Roman Reigns homers there is.  Last night was not a great night for him and it was his own doing.  He showed little to no fire at all in his first segment backstage and through his entrance even.  He didn't get fired up at all until the hot tag.  It made zero sense considering he had basically been screwed out of the WWE Title the night before.  Watch TLC and Raw Philly and you will see that he has a lot more fire even during his entrance.  It was disappointing.

That wouldn't have anything to do with a certain dude from Gainesville, GA would it?

Hell yes it did. Was it just me or did Jericho seem a little slow trying to keep up with AJ?

By Rock standards this segments been pretty cruddy. Still, it's The Rock.

Painfully awkward, dead air moments, little highlights (and I'm a rock mark).  Of course this is the time I make my gf watch RAW, at least she got to see Ryder in the Edge/Christian commercial.

If he did, it was probably by design.

I'm not sure Jericho was slow, I just think their timing was a little off.

AJ did some good stuff. I think his springboard elbow looked awesome, and I also look for that move to be taken from him ASAP because it makes the Superman Punch look tame.

Wonder what AJ will do for a finisher now?

The main event booking is idiotic.

Hey. You two team up on Brock and then have Ambrose lay down for Reigns. Or walk out for a 10 count.

Rock was awful last night. He was just a cocksucker to everyone backstage. The run down on Big Show was pointless. The run down on Lana was a what the fuck is going on moment. The New Day rules so hard.

I don't think it was by design. I think it was more of a case of Jericho has lost a couple of steps

That's what I was thinking. He was a complete dick to everybody. Running down Miz was fine. But Big Show last time I checked was a babyface. And you're going to brag about having sex with Lana right in front of her husband to be? What a dick.

Seriously though, that Rock segment was very fun in the end.

But if it was ANYBODY else, Stephanie would have had this verbal assault likt a teacher screaming at a 10 year old misbehaving at recess because this show is run by asshats.

I have a feeling, they are waiting for the Styles Clash to debut at Fastlane. He will definitely use it, as the announcers already know of it (which sounds odd when they say it - because they've "never seen it"). It was also part of the contract negotiations that AJ keeps his name, nicknames, and the name "Styles Clash".

Holy hell were the New Day awful in that segment. They look like a bunch of junior high rejects trying to look cool. So very bad.

I agree that they are building towards it which is fine, but I think he needed something with more impact than a sunset flip finish or whatever exactly it was.

Did you see that number in context?  It's amazing how they've slid.

Just watched..
Rock segments were awful. He normally brings fun to the show.

Jericho was turning gray in the face. It's time for him to slow down.

Why are they hell-bent on making Big Show a wuss?

Random thought:  Had Samoa Joe waited til now to sign, would he be on Raw?

The Rock made Rusev look like a jobber. I really wanted Rusev to legit beat the shit outta the Rock (which he probably could but he would hear from Dwayne's agent in Hollywood the next day). He made everyone in the backstage segment look weak. If The New Day was 'the best' the WWE could give to the Rock in their segment, the WWE is fucked.

I watched the segments with the Rock online and I felt like this after watching it:

The Rock is the guy with the skateboard. He's not cool anymore.
