spent the weekend with the Kinect at my ski house, very very very fun. Doesn't seem as accurate as Wii, but way more fun
Interesting. That has been one of my biggest gripes with the Wii - how inaccurate it is. I find the Kinect more accurate tracking a larger object - a hand for tracking navigation, for example - than the Wii tracking a small remote sensor.
I get so aggravated trying to enter a name in a game on the Wii, for example, due to the jumpiness of the remote's horrible tracking.
To be fair, the Kinect has had some errors and missteps as well, but on the whole, it's still a vastly better experience than the Wii. The graphics are so much better, there's no multi-button combinations to get anything done.
An example here: At Christmas, we were at my sisters' place, and we got everyone playing Wii Golf. There was so much confusion about what button to press at what time (B, then A, then hold A again, and swing) versus the Kinect, where you just turn sideways and "address the ball" and make a swinging motion. It's so much easier on the Kinect.
I also love how the running commentary in the Kinect Sports interacts with your performance. For example, you hit a golf shot, and it's like live TV golf commentary. The dude exclaims about how well you hit the ball, and then there's follow up on your next shot, and you get voice tips on the upcoming shot based on your position, lie, and so forth.
It's just so far advanced it's ridiculous.
