Did anyone figure out what the mystery hatch tweets were?  I may have been watching the Thunder lose if they showed it.

They were for WWE 2K17.  Goldberg is the pre-order exclusive.

Hopefully, that IS where they are going. Stephanie being a cunt to everyone and never getting comeuppance has gone on for so long already that she needs to be retired as a TV character. I don't think Charlotte the Heel should do it, but why demean your champion in the first place?

Stephanie would be the face and win the belt. Wtf are you smoking that it allowed you to believe that Stephanie would lose? I want some.

They had that great Memorial Day intro... And then in the very next segment was Shane twerking with The New Day, and I'm reminded that this three hour show is centered around making a 70 year old man and his lackey laugh.

Company is preparing for very low ratings due to the holiday, so I don't know why they had Cena's return scheduled for tonight.

Probably the Memorial Day symbolism. I'm not a sports guy so I'm cool with it. A lot of people will probably DVR this and watch it later.

Did these mutants just WHAT?! AJ Styles?  What the heck is wrong with these morons?

They don't want anybody cheered louder than Reigns or Cena. Period.

When the fuck did Stephanie become a face? God damn I am sick of this McMahon shit.

She's pretending to be a face since the "co-manage Raw" thing started.

I don't understand your point on the What?! chants, Z.  That's the crowd's doing, not WWE management.  They didn't put AJ in a bad spot to garner those chants.  The same folks going nuts for him moments before suddenly thought that they should What?! him.  That has nothing to do with keeping AJ under Cena/Roman at all so far as I can tell.

Oops, my bad. I thought you were commenting on the AJ turn.  And that the mutants were WWE Creative.

That's what I get for not looking at this thread live.

If last night is the direction the WWE is going, expect a lot of fuckin' commercials.

Stephanie McMahon basically cutting off Charlotte's push at the knees, earned a big "F U" from me. Let your actual face (Natalya or Becky Lynch) be the one to tell Charlotte that, not Stephanie. If all of the McMahons can fall to their death in the Grand Canyon, the world would be a better place.

The only segments I liked was the New Day and Kevin Owens/Chris Jericho's exchange.

Jericho: ....moi, that's French.
Owens: I know.

The WWE seriously needs to have a JericKO tag team in the tag title picture.

Did not see THAT coming.

That's funny, Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder did. Seriously, that's like the 35th time they've done that angle with Cena. Even Charlie Brown missing the football when Lucy pulls it away is less predictable.

Also, great job by Michael Cole talking about "Kurt" Anderson during the beatdown. SMH

At some point, the fact that they've done it so many times to Cena makes it lose its luster.

BTW, Luke Gallows was hilarious during the beatdown... "PICK UP HIS TEETH! PICK UP HIS TEETH!"

I legitimately thought they were separating The Club and AJ so he'd be freed up to do something else.  I figured he was penciled in as the second or third face in the company who was getting universally positive reactions.

I would hope that too, but this is Vince McMahon we're talking about.

"AJ Styles is getting over as a face? I didn't create him damnit! Turn him heel now!"
"...But Vince, the WWE universe actually likes him..."
"I don't care, I'll tell the WWE universe what they should like!"

It's kind of funny that a move that should appeal to hardcore fans the most is being blasted by so many hardcore fans.

I mean they are giving you The (Bullet) Club and now we are complaining that AJ Styles should have been left as a straight-up babyface.

Had AJ won a ppv match yet?   I agree that Vince is holding him back.  Yes, they united the club but they aren't Vince's boys so what happens in the future?

I wasn't a fan of AJ losing to Jericho at Mania, but to look at his series with Roman Reigns and have your takeaway be, "He hasn't won a PPV match yet" is missing the point IMHO.  It's a common refrain, but I see no reason to worry about AJ Styles in WWE.  I also disagree with the concept that Vince is holding him back.  A guy being held back isn't main eventing consecutive PPVs against the new WWE Champion and then getting slotted into a program with John Cena.

Also, I just looked and he beat Jericho at Fastlane so he has won a PPV match already.

When I said Vince was holding him back, I meant holding him back in regards to what the fans are wanting.  Giving fans a match with Jericho at WM and 2 matches with Reigns is great for business.  Letting him win those matches are what fans wanted, not Vince.  AJ quickly took over for most popular.  For the fans to hijack his interchange with Cena on the night of Cena's return is sending a big message.

I'm not claiming that Vince does not recognize AJ's star power, just that Vice will be damned if AJ wins the current one show title, especially now that AJ's part of the club.

Those same fans were clamoring for the Bullet Club to show up in WWE though.  I don't see this as Vince trying to sabotage AJ Styles or stick it to the fans.

The same fans who hijacked his promo with the "What?!" chants are the same ones who were going nuts for the whole deal moments earlier.

Other than assuming things will go sideways at some point in the future, I see no reason to worry about AJ Styles in WWE.

I'm not really worried, but I am skeptical about the upcoming Cena feud. Not winning it is whatever, I just don't want to see Cena beat everyone 1 against 3 because they won't recover from that.

John Cena overcame The Nexus and it was about 6 guys. I have a feeling he's going to overcome The Club because Vince is petty. I hope the crowd completely shits all over it and they do it in front of a smarky crowd.

It's not out of the realm of possibility that The Club gets Nexus-ed, but Cena's older now and the landscape has changed.  I think it's less likely to happen at this stage of the game although the treatment of The Wyatt Family in that Cena feud still irks me.

My bigger issue here is people complaining about the presentation of AJ Styles...to this point.  He's a rock star in WWE.  Could a Cena feud cool him off?  Sure, but aside from the questionable loss to Jericho at Mania I don't see anything to complain about as it relates to how AJ Styles has been used since coming in.

AJ has been used well and a huge reason for that is how popular he is. I don't know how this will transition to his heel work, the fans may lose interest or cheer him against Cena.

Maybe Finn comes in and destroys everyone, who knows?

I mean, I get it.  There's legitimate reason to worry how AJ looks coming out of the Cena feud.  What I don't get is complaining about his use to this point.

http://www.southatlantawrestling.com/2016/06/raw-aj-styles-punks-john-cena.html

I wrote that about the segment on Monday's Raw specifically and touched on AJ's use so far.
