Holds the distinction of being the inaugural Intercontinental champion. Credited as winning a tournament in Rio De Jainero, but in actuality the title was renamed from the WWF North American Title. Worked as both heel and babyface while champion, and had a revered feud with Sgt. Slaughter after losing the title.
