His first World Title reign is second only to Bruno Sammartino in length. Spent most of his career as The All American Boy, but had a memorable run as an angry old man in the 90s.

One of the first black superstars of wrestling. Uncrowned NWA champion when he defeated Buddy Rogers, but refused to accept the title due to an alleged injury to Rogers. Feuded with the likes of The Sheik, Johnny Valentine, and Killer Kowalski.
