I think Kevin Owens is the right choice. Only reason I put Reigns ahead of Cass is because he's my personal favorite. Both Reigns and Rollins need to be away from the belt for a while. That's my basic premise, more here if you'd like.

I think KO is tied to Jericho right now and a Jericho vs. KO title match wouldn't be much of a ME for a PPV, not yet anway. I think KO needs the title run but I don't think he's been set up to benefit from it or bring heat to the belt.

Well...rumor had it that Jericho and Balor were going to feud over the Universal Title.

As of right now Reigns and Rollins both will feel completely stale. KO is a far better option than Big Cass right now, but if they want to get weird with it and strap Cass I could get behind that.

Personally, I think the absolute worst option to close this show as champion is Seth Rollins. If you want to turn him face like you always should have then do it against Kevin Owens as Universal Champion.

Such a joke/shit ending to a pretty decent match. Here we go again with the "chosen" (nay, gifted the belt to) Champion, and all we're going to hear from Owens until he gets beat is how he beat 3 other guys to win HIS title. Ugh.

Note: I have no problem with Owens as Champ, but this is just dumb rehash.

I think you are dead wrong about that Z. I said it before they even named a champion, the WWE Universal Championship already has more prestige than the WWE World Championship without a champion or a lineage. It's a dopey name, the all red took some getting used to, but being on Raw (the flagship) and having guys like Reigns, Rollins, Balor, Owens, etc. in the hunt it felt way more important from the jump than Dean Ambrose and his SmackDown title.

Yeah, his involvement here was excessive. Even if they had Rusev take out Reigns and then the Pedigree to kill Rollins, it would have been more palatable. Instead he Pedigrees Reigns and gifts the pin to Rollins, then he Pedigrees Rollins to gift the pin to KO. These four guys were having a great match and Triple H made himself the focal point before it was over. Rollins will be fine because it looks like he'll get that face run against Trips and the crowd will actually support him. Doing that to Reigns after they finally wrapped that at Mania 32 was complete BS. Doing it to both and putting so much heat on himself and taking it away from Owens is BS too.

I am looking forward to next week's Raw though and I hope Owens isn't presented as the stereotypical Authority champion as they seemed to tease that Trips and Steph weren't on the same page here at all.

This was the perfect way into how to turn a PPV ME quality match into total crap in 3 minutes.

Sometimes we need to be reminded that this about the McMahon family I guess.

The best thing they could do for KO is make it where he's not "The Authority's Champion" or "Triple H's Champion" or whatever. He won the belt due to Triple H's interference, but he'd be better off and more interesting if that's where the relationship stopped. Have Rollins and Triple H do their thing, but don't pull KO back into it.

The more I think about it though I think the more I'm OK with this. I didn't love them doing that last night, but it may be the catalyst for a lot of interesting things going forward.

I've never really been a fan of that move in general. I didn't even like the look of Sting's splash.

But Cass' big boot to Roman where they both went over the ropes was SICK. Loved it.

He's actually done some dick head heel stuff that has been great. I have to eat a mountain of crow. His teaming with Jericho was fantastic.

The reason wrestling will never be good again is because Stephanie McMahon will never allow herself to look bad. I mean the personal Stephanie. She will never put anyone over on a promo. She has to have the last word. And Triple H will be the God Mode wrestler for at least another 15 years. No thanks.

And what is the deal with Michael Cole suddenly not being able to tell wrestlers apart? He called Seth "Roman" several times last night, and his inability to tell Cesaro apart from Sheamus is out and out baffling.

It's to the point where Botchamania has an entire Michael Cole section on their most recent videos...
