If you ask me, the Stark child who is least likely to be an actual Stark isn't Jon Snow - it's Arya. Over the past eight years, she's demonstrated at least three discernible facial expressions. Jon has 1.  Sansa has maybe 1-1/2. Bran has zero.

Bran is such a tough character to handle right now.  His visions give the writers something to use seemingly when the way to, but then they forget about it when they just want to build conflict.  Seems to me like he could just tell people how this thing ends.  Bad character all around.

Really good episode last night, I thought. Just the low-grade tension permeating everything while you waited for the Night King's army to mass on the horizon.

In terms of tone, they did pretty much the only thing they could do. You're not going to top Episode 2 and Episode 5 for sheer intensity or suspense, so best not to try. They went for a rather extended denouement.


I'll bet you anything HBO produces a feature in a few years, picking up where things leave off. Hopefully they don't make us wait 15 years like they did for the Deadwood revival (which, incidentally, is only 12 days away).
