SupTool Has Passed Away, 41 Years Old
« on: March 12, 2020, 10:15:16 PM »
There's no real great way to do this, but since it's on Facebook and even my Twitter I wanted to let y'all know that SupTool (Norko Kipte) passed away.

We were childhood friends, and neighbors.  He was 41. Died of cardiac arrest.

I have a thread of Tweets with some pics if anyone cares to view them.

I think i may have dome more podcasts with him than anybody else. My life, let alone by podcasting career, is never going to be the same. I kept meaning to go down to Georgia to see an Action Wrestling show and meet him again in real life.

Death always wins in the end, but I just hope Norko kicked him in the nuts on the way out.

Although I only knew Norko though our interactions he and on FB, this news hit me really hard when I learned it yesterday.  I always struck as a really genuinely good guy who faced the world and his health issues with with strength, integrity, and good humor.

If his death is hitting someone like me who only sort of knew him this way, I can only imagine how difficult this must be for this that knew him well.

I was absolutely shocked this morning when I found out. I'm still shocked. I don't know how to deal with this one.

I had to read Josh's Facebook post like 5 times before I understood what was going on.

I obviously wasn't as close to Norko as folks like FreebirdSTF, but Norko and I talked almost every day. We've done the A1 Podcast and now the Wrestling Brethren Podcast for almost a decade together now. I went on a road trip to Nashville and Memphis in the summer of 2017 but I made a point to get over to see him and I got to spend the afternoon with him, which I'm so very happy that I got to do. After hearing of this, I would have been filled with regret if I hadn't taken that opportunity.

Norko was a super good guy. Very passionate about his interests, especially wrestling. Always ready with a joke, a celebrity impression (I could never get enough of his Schwarzenegger) or a witty comeback, he was a legit funny guy. We've had some epic discussions both off and on our podcasts... man I'm gonna miss this guy.

To all those that knew him, interacted with him here or elsewhere online, I'm so very sorry.

Rest in peace, brother.

I couldn't believe it, when I opened Facebook this morning.

David, I'm sorry for your loss. Losing a best friend this way must hurt like hell.

Like Jarret, and Seth, I knew Norko from the podcast. This has hit me harder than I thought it would; for not having met in person. However, he was such a great person to talk to on a regular basis. I'm going to miss him tremendously. We just spoke yesterday afternoon via WhatsApp. I'm stunned. I'm sad.

RIP Norko.

I read David's post first, but since then I've seen so many other A1'ers post as well.

I don't have much to add that others haven't already said.  Norko was always such a genuine guy.  He had the occasional bout of frustration that anyone would with the health obstacles that were put in front of him, but he was generally a happy guy and got joy from putting a smile on another person's face.

RIP

Here is a bit he, Prime, and I did a few years back. Reading dialogue from Lord Of The Rings with him as Arnold Schwarzenegger playing Gandalf, me as Randy Savage playing Frodo, and Prime as Hulk Hogan as Gollum.

Thanks for the well-wishes. It does hurt, but I will be OK.

I forgot to respond to a message he sent me on WhatsApp the day he passed. Best I can figure he was gone before I even sent my response that night. Life's fragile, man.

Thanks everyone.

We laid him to rest yesterday. Me and another childhood friend of his were asked to give a eulogy. It was a nice service, and a lovely day.

I wrote this about him.

I mention this on the pod so here's SupTool's unpublished fast food breakfast takes I was supposed to tie into one of my Talking Fast Food posts. I hadn't done it  yet because I hadn't tried Wendy's breakfast yet. This is unedited, it's what he sent me as points for the article and I just copied and pasted.

"For FFA
Wendy's breakfast.
Potatoes. They're essentially seasoned steak fries. The batch I got were hot and that taste a good set of steak fries has.

The honey butter chicken biscuit is on par with the CFA size wise. Slight hint of sweetness in the chicken.
Overall. Not a bad breakfast meal. Would go again if I needed a fast meal.

Oh. Add this in as well.

When I go to Wendy's for breakfast, it'll definitely be for the chicken choices. I'm not a fan of the choice of egg they use in their other sandwiches. I like scrambled eggs, yes, I'm weird like that."

Then he followed up and asked if I had published it yet. I said No so he sent this fast food breakfast ranking.

"Good. One more thing from me, my breakfast rankings
1. Krystal
2. Bojangles
3. McDonald's
4. Hardees
5. Chik Fil A (I'm basing their ranking on just their fast food breakfast, not their Dwarf House offerings, which would rank it much higher)
6. Burger King
7. Wendy's"

I'll find more of these skits to put up on social media, but this is an example of the fun we had over the years. It depicts Lord Of The Rings with Arnold Schwarzenegger as Gandalf, Randy Savage as Frodo, and Hulk Hogan as Gollum.

I know I am a little late on this but it was so sad to read about SupTool's passing.  In the 20 years I have been reading this site he was one of my favorite posters. He will be missed.

I joined another friend to talk about Norko if anyone is interested. Some different discussion than the Wrestling Brethren episode.
