Over-Rated and Over-Matched should be the division names.

Got roped into watching the games tonight because my brother showed up in town.  Glad I caught the TCU game.  Surprised they won to be honest, but it's a pleasant surprise.  I know folks who nothing about football, mocked their defense after SDSU scored some junk points late in a game.  But it's pretty clear TCU had the best defense in the country.

The only thing that is clear after today is that the Big 10 was, yet again, grossly overrated (and that TCU was unfairly written off by many people, myself included, I 100% eat crow on putting them down).

All respect to TCU as I firmly believe they are one of the top teams in the country and can beat any team in the top 10.  With that said, I still stand firm in my belief that TCU would not go undefeated in a major conference (SEC, Big 12, etc.)

Congrats to TCU and LOL to the Big Ten.

No shame in losing to TCU, like I said, but combine their most dominant looking team going down in the Rose with the ass beatings today and it doesn't look so good for them.

Iowa won their bowl and that's all that matters.

FWIW I always felt Michigan State was overrated. Hell even my guys beat them.

I also think not having Parker for most of the season hurt us in many more ways than what a lot of people realize

I don't give a shit about the big ten. Never been a guys who feels "oh my team isn't in so I'll cheer for whoever represents my conference".

Outside of my team, I really don't care who wins or loses (though I am a bit of a bama bandwagoner just because of their tradition and colors)

So if other big ten teams get owned, no skin off my back.

The wisconsin loss does surprise me though as I felt going in they were the best one loss team in the country.

Who knows about 2012, but right now, TCU would obliterate anyone in the Big East.  It's not even close.

As to the Big Ten, you know, it's bad enough to run the table in reverse.  But to get run off the field by the likes of Mississippi State?  That is so, so pathetic.  I'm not a fan of firing coaches who win more games than they did they year before, but that was a fucking embarassment by Michigan.

Mike Price's Alabama career looks like Joe Paterno's Penn State one compared to this clown.

ESPN article about Haywood's firing.

Yeah, I'm no Dave Wannstedt fan, but you ran him off for THAT?

Nah, Haywood wasnt the original guy they were after. They were after Oklahoma States OC who is now the Head Coach in waiting at West Virginia. Think they should go after Bud Foster, the Va Tech DC but I'm sure they may go after an offensive minded guy.

MSU is very good this year. They held Auburn to 17 points. Look out for them next year. I didn't believe the Dan Mullen hype when he came in. I believe it now.

TCU would have their way with the Big East this year (and this is no knock on them), but so would a lot of top flight programs this year.  The Big East was terrible even by their standards.

Second game of the year son. Coach Malzahn didnt fully know what kind of weapon he had in Newton at that time.

Think the Big East and Miami both are regretting the Canes move to the ACC? ; 8)

Oh, totally.  But if you're going to whiff on your first choice, at least make sure the second choice lasts more than two weeks.

Then again, weren't O'Leary and Price second choices at Notre Dame and Alabama, respectively?  Hmmm.....

Lol, yeah I'm SHOCKED about this one when all the talk was about Mike Leach and Gus Malzahn. Guess Maryland offered more money and has better facilities cause this seems like a job on the same level with a harder time getting a bcs berth with the conference being a lil stronger and a championship game.

The UCONN coach didn't even fly home on the same plane as his players after the game. He took a private jet right to Maryland. Is anyone who coaches CFB not a total piece of shit?

Yeah, they were both coaching in the Outback Bowl yesterday.

It's the textbook definition of "lateral move".

And Maryland already announced him as head coach, barely 24 hours after U-Con played in the first BCS bowl game in their history.  The only thing that would've been funnier is if he'd been hired 24 hours before the Fiesta Bowl.
