Arsenal @ Newcastle today.  What an epic meltdown by Arsenal.  Up 4-0 at half, Diaby got sent off and they conceded 4 goals to settle for a draw.  Amazing.

And Wolverhampton just ended ManU's unbeaten streak.  It's so amusing, reading posts on their fan sites.  It's like they live in another universe.  Arsenal fans have declared their season over and ManU fans are talking about how terrible they've been all year.  WTF?  Arsenal is only 4 points back of ManU and ManU has lost only one game this season.

I went for a ride at 4-1. I come back and they are talking about Newcastle earning a point. What a shock.

And Wolves ends ManU's unbeaten run through the EPL.

Arsenal fans are aching for a trophy and maybe those were Rooney fans b/c outside of a game or two, he has been worthless this season.

Excited for Chelsea/Liverpool tomorrow. Gonna be weird seeing Torres in Chelsea blue.

Spectacular goal by Rooney.

That was awesome.  I hope this means his slump is over.

Wow, that was a crazy day.  Had the Liverpool game on, which wasn't the most exciting thing ever.  Nine of the bottom twelve teams drew or lost today.  Fulham and Everton didn't play and Birmingham City only managed to win in injury time(Zigic!), taking them from 16th to 14th.  Looking forward to the Tottenham game.

I've been holding out hope Liverpool could make the Top 4. Only taking 1 point at home with Wigan isn't going to do enough to help that improbable cause.

The Newcastle debacle may cost Arsenal the league title when all this gets sored out in May.

Tuesday Spurs @ AC Milan and Wednesday Barca @ Arsenal should be tremendous.

Nice road win for Spurs today. Chelsea will need a full 3 points at Fulham on Monday to remain in the Top 4.

Tottenham just won a "controversial" game against AC Milan.  Wow, Milan has some pissy little girls playing for them.  One of them tried to headbutt one of Tottenham's coaches after the final whistle.

Holy shit. And the keeper just stood there and was all "Are you fucking KIDDING me?" Wow.

How long has it been since Arsenal won some silverware?

Looking at their wiki page, it looks like their last trophy was the Champions League in 06, so nothing for 4 seasons.  Hopefully nothing this season either.   :D

Arsenal hasn't won the Champions League. They lost to Barca in the 06 finals. Looks like the 05 FA Cup was their last trophy.

Yeah, dunno why I thought it said they won the CL.

The Wolves got robbed today against Tottenham.  Stupid mafia refs taking their goal away.  Still, it was a really good game.  Hard to believe that they're probably going to be relegated.

In MLS news, Sporting KC just signed a deal with the Livestrong Foundation to name their new soccer stadium LIVESTRONG Sporting Park.  Maybe this means Lance will be at some of the games?

I love the way Barcelona plays football, but what a shame what the refs did to RVP and Arsenal today. Barca is probably the better team, but we were robbed of seeing a game today with that atrocious red card. Having it come so soon after Arsenal's (lucky) equalizer screams corruption.

I didn't see it, but a friend of mine pointed out that the possession was 68-32 in favor of Barcelona and that they had 10 shots on target to Arsenal's 0.  Not really a game that they were going to win, even if they had avoided the red.

Tottenham/AC Milan has been a good game.  Not super exciting, but Tottenham has a very lucky save after the keeper failed to grab the ball after diving for it.  Still just over 30 minutes to go.

Spurs go through!  Some very close calls in the second half.  Schalke beat Valencia 3-1(4-2).  Next week ManU and Chelsea are up.

Barcelona dominated the game, but the OG did give Gunners life when it came to advancing. Without the Red, I wouldn't have been surprised to see Extra Time. Unfortunately, the Red and penalty took nearly all the life out of Arsenal. It was sad to see.

Very happy for Spurs. Like to see a Spurs/Bayern Munich or that Ukrainian team in the Quarters.

Yes, yes, they did. Arsenal has had a 2 weeks from hell. They had potential for a Treble and now the league title is their sole hope.
