Yeah, I think Bud Light is worse then eating soap, but I'm not about to tell someone they're drinking beer wrong.i

Effing Baby Boomers. They're the damned worst.

Today, we went to do our grocery shopping. I was under the weather, so I wanted out of there as soon as possible. In front of us in line were a pair of geezers who bought EVERYTHING they possibly could. No big deal, people need food.

At the end of their order, they demanded to purchase a couple of packs of high-end ballpoint pens. The scanner had no price for them. But these humanoids HAD to have these pens, and right NOW. It took three cashiers 30+ minutes to figure out that the goddamn things were $9.49. They wouldn't take them out of line, they wouldn't move them over to customer service, NOPE - they had to hold up a goddamn grocery store line for 30 minutes because these were, apparently, the GREATEST ballpoint pens since the advent of the quill and inkwell. Needless to say, when the over made-up cashier finally got to me, she suddenly became the freakin' Flash.

I hope those geezer's pens fell out of the damn bag. Or that they don't work. Or they get hit by a train.

When you buy a car, don't want to scratch it up, and start noticing all the gravely roads potholes everywhere, parking lots with carriages all over the place and cars parked nowhere near correctly, being forced to park on a side street.. Basically, all the things you never cared about when you had your dinged up jalopy.

My dog refuses to eat salami. Just sniffs it, then stares at it like it's poison. (She regularly gets pigs ears, bully sticks, eggs, cheese, you name it..)

Kind of takes away the enjoyment when you make yourself a sandwhich, and you're eating something a dog won't touch.

Should I be annoyed at underhanded advertising, or people having a reading and comprehension problem, and yet somehow winning money?

I mean, I'm no fan of fine print, but I don't see how saying a Fosters originated in Australia while claiming in smaller print that this particular Fosters is brewed in Texas is a lie worthy of paying out money over...

Much as I like the CW shows like Izombie (And the old Buffy show), sometimes it's hard to ignore everyone's some gq dressing supermodel. Just ruins suspension of disbelief when there's not even one relatably "average" looking person, know what I mean?

Found out Tosh.o was one of the most popular shows on comedy central.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!?

I mean, have you seen the show? Remember those moments on America's Funniest Home Videos where some guy hangglides into a mobile home or falls off a roof, and they treated it like comedy? That's the whole Tosh show. Unfunny comedian makes fun of people falling on their face in viral videos.

Saw the a*hole who conducted the Stanford prison experiments on some talk show. He was plugging real hard how authentic the movie is to the actual events.

I have no desire to see it. Far as I'm concerned, shoving volunteer students in a small space for days while leaving them to the abuse of their peers is on my list of cringe inducing unethical experiments, alongside such experiments as re-assigning a male as a female due to a circumcision accident, trying to raise him as female and failing at it, then lying about it being a success (And of course, the victim kills himself)..

Why is there a general sentiment that adults shouldn't be reading young adult or teen fiction? As if after you leave your 20's, if you're not reading Pychon or something deeper, you should feel embarrassed?

You even get extremes like a certain Yale professor who criticized Harry Potter as merely training people to read Steven King (Implying King is garbage.)

The general theme seems to be, escapism is only a hobby of children? I guess? And if you haven't graduated to serious literary works, you're not a "real" adult?

When did it become a rule that when you reach a certain age, it's time to stop having fun?

I happen to think it's pretty prevalent, if not always explicit. I've got an Ipod that's loaded with dorky kid music that you wouldn't assume would be in the strike zone of a 34 year old guy. Also music I remember liking as a kid. Also some classic rock stuff, pre-Beatles. And some stuff that's probably more typical of someone my age.

I get that tastes do change and sometimes mature as somebody gets older, but I feel like a lot of the time, people ditch music and TV shows not because they honestly stop liking them, but because these cultural items aren't considered cool anymore, and the urge to conform is too great.

Internet socks.

You know, people using multiple accounts to bolster an argument, or shill a product. Some companies even make a business of it, offering to create wikis and send an army of sock puppets to different forums to push their wares..

It's annoying, because you never know if the guy saying (By way of one example);

"Boy, those Keurigs suck. Glad I bought a French Press", or the next two guys gushing about their Aeropress, are simply coffee enthusiasts giving an opinion. Or whether they're employees and/or stakeholders trying influence opinion..

Plastic paneling covering the undercarriage fell off my new car. Thought it was a blown tire, but could see the entire front end just drooping to the road.

Had this fixed before, too, when only a little bit was leaning into the tire.

Netflix app for tablets. What a bad idea that was.

Lets watch a 2-3 hour movie while holding up a tablet that weighs as much as an encyclopedia! Sounds like comfortable viewing to me.

Or maybe you have one of those little holder-stands, and you can crank your head down at the screen for a few hours. Totally better then sitting on a couch and watching a tv.

I'll admit the idea of streaming media to tablets did seem like a neat idea at first glance, but logistically there's a reason most people prefer watching shows on a television..

Hell brother, that's where I do the majority of my Netflix watching, on my iPad. I don't get access to the main TV that has Netflix installed on it because someone else is watching when I'm wanting to watch so I use the iPad, it's fine for me
