I wanted to give blood today.  The blood drive was local and convenient, and started at 1:00 PM.  I figured I'd walk in, donate, then go to work at 3.  It/s a Thursday, most people are probably working or at school, so I should have no problems, right?

Turns out the parking lot was full, and the waiting list was as long as my arm. 

It's kind of heart warming to see so many people donate, but I also have to wonder how so many people can afford the time to do this in the middle of the day.  It's like the coffee shops in town..  They're constantly filled, from dawn to dusk, and you'd think most people would either be working or looking for work..  Nope, they're just hanging out sipping coffee.

Times must be pretty tough indeed, if people can afford to just hang out all day.

My irk?  People whose attention spans are too short to drive. You know, the guy who's in the turn lane and picks the second before the light changes to go diving into their passenger-side floorboards and root throught the pile of trash for whatever shiny caught their eye for a second. Assburger.

Yellow lights can be tricky.  My aunt actually did get ticketed for "taking" a yellow once so I hate it when I get caught in that "no man's land" on one.

Going down the steps to the platform in the train station every morning is always difficult because the people who have just got off the train and are coming up always fill any route, even though they are going at the same speed and could easily walk behind the person in front. I counter-act this flying V by absolutely bombing it down the steps. People move then.

i had to take a cab from the train station to the ferry (to see the statue of liberty) and the cabbie was honking at nearly every stop sign.  once the light turned green, if the person didn't IMMEDIATELY start going (and I mean within a milisecond of the light turning) he'd honk at them.  If anyone slowed down for a right turn or whatever, HONK.  someone changes lanes in front of him, HONK.

Lets see if I can make sense out of this. I hate it when your driving down a road that has a middle turning lane then some fucker up the road is making a left turn on to the road your going straight on. My immediate reaction is this dipshit doesn't see me so I'm going to slow down to avoid a collision only for them to start coasting in the middle turn lane waiting for my ass to pass them. Its even worse when there is a left turning lane at a traffic light just up from where they are turning on and you are trying to get in it but the guy is blocking you and waiting for me to pass.
