If one of the teams is still available, I'll do it.  What the hell.  I don't know if you need my yahoo id, but it's anthony_r_caldwell@yahoo.com

Yes, invitations to both of you were just sent for your respective teams.

Last year, we ended up doing Autodraft because it was too hard to get everyone together.  We'll try for a live draft this year though.

Last year was a live draft. I remember early last season feeling burned about taking Larry Fitzgeald so early when it became evident how awful Arizona's QB situation was. Also, I remember struggling whether to take Kyle Orton or Chad Henne (glad I took Orton!) to backup Aaron Rodgers.

We're at 12 teams right now.  If everyone is open for it, I'd expand it to 14 if we can find another manager.

I didn't know you already had 12. I'll retract my request.

Cross-Post from the Yahoo Page:

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

How do you guys work keepers?  In the league I commish, you can keep one player drafted in round 6 or later, and you have to keep that player on your roster for the entire season.  The keeper costs you whatever round they were selected in the previous season.  So if I selected Mike Williams in the 7th round last year, I can keep him and I give up my 7th round pick this year.  We only get to keep that player for one year, then the keepers reset with the next draft.  Free-agent pick-ups during the season are not eligible to be keepers.  I hope that makes sense.

The reason we do it that way is to keep the top of the draft fresh and reward owners for taking risks on players later in the draft that may have long term value.  We reset it to keep the league competitive and stop owners from hoarding all the best players from year to year.  Some owners in my league won't have any keepers because they didn't draft wisely last year (or hold on to their players through the season), while another owner is choosing between Jahvid Best in the 6th and Big Ben in the 10th as his keeper.

It appears that you guys select 2 players, and you keep them over multiple years.  Since I'm not here to debate policy, I'll just roll with it.  Are there any consequences to a person's draft depending on their keeper?  I read that someone is wanting to keep  Adrian Peterson (again), so will that cost him more than someone keeping a more marginal player?  That will greatly influence who I keep from my team.

i think 12 teams is enough, any more and things just get thin.

also, should probably set a draft date/time, so we can get a day/time that everyone is good with.

Also, if there's anyone still looking for a league, or a 2nd one, there's one I'm in that got a few spots open open yet. Live Auction Draft, PPR, no IDPs. Let me know.

1 spot left open.  Hossler has until Midnight CT tonight to let me know if he want it.  At 12:00:01 am CT it's up for grabs to the first person that send me their email address to invite to the league.  The team available (RMAK) has the first pick in this years draft and gets to keep 2 players off of last years roster which is listed in one of the above posts.

I guess that's alright.  I still have to finalize the rosters, set the draft order, assign keepers to teams, and some other stuff, but I think that will be alright.

any chance of us doing a 2nd league for a little bit of money? say a 10 dollar buy in via paypal sent as a gift to whoever a1 trusts the most?

I would like to do an auction league if at all possible.

1qb 2 rb 2 wr 1 te 1 wr/rb flex 1 kicker 1 defense 6 bench spots.

You start with a 200 dollar fantasy budget.

This way everyone gets to bid on every player but be careful if you overspend for 3 players you will be ultra weak everywhere else.

This is just an idea and if we were to do this I think the draft should be 8 days away after all of the week 3 pre season games are done. Probably at 8 or 9 pm eastern. If there are no takers no hard feelings

Hossler, is that you that got in for the 12th team or is it the guy who originally had it?  Reason I ask is that "Sitdown" was a common phrase he used back in the softball days.  Just want to see who got the spot.

Here's the list of keepers from everyone.  Wishfulthinking is the only one I didn't see a list from so I took his top two players from last season.  This is also the draft order starting with Round 3 on September 1st.

APL-3 Matt Schaub Mario Manningham  Colorado Larks Eli Manning Cedric Benson  TD's and Beer Lesean McCoy Roddy White  Wishfulthinking Mark Sanchez Darren McFadden  Promo's Pushovers Tom Brady Michael Turner  Sharks w/arms Drew Brees Dwayne Bowe  Bensylarlockereturns Adrian Peterson Ray Rice  Chicago Cyborgs Peyton Manning Chad Ochocinco  Mashers Steven Jackson Andre Johnson  Black Light Warriors Arian Foster Miles Austin  Dastardly Cads Maurice Jones-Drew Phillip Rivers  The Tormentors Aaron Rodgers Jamaal Charles

I can get in touch with the GM for Wishful Thinking. Can he change them before next week if needed?
