Jessica Alba in Machete, now this shit.

I liked this quote in the comments, from a fella named ERNIE:

My b0ner won’t be CGI’d.

Your thoughts?

At least it seems easy to spot and actresses are making it a point to mention it's cgi.

Some actors will demand more money for the level of nudity that CGI can depict.

I don't see the point of movie nudity anyway...does it sell more tickets? No, because it is really not part of the publicity push.

I think the promise of movie nudity absolutely sells more tickets. They can't show it on broadcast network TV because of censors and stuff - the most you can do is tease it or imply it. Movie audiences are generally literate enough to know what to expect. I didn't see any explicit nudity in any of the TV trailers for Friends With Benefits, but I saw it implied all over the place, so I would assume, without having seen the film, the odds of there being nudity in it are about 110%.

Nudity doesn't seem to be nearly as prevalent as it was back in the day.  I've noticed since the 90s there has been a lot of teasing of nudity, only to see RATED PG-13 at the end of a trailer.

Of course, back in the early 80s, there was nudity in PG movies.  We've actually backtracked quite a bit in terms of nudity.  Now they're painting it on!

Cable TV seems to have really pushed the envelope on it, tho, so at least there is that.

Olivia Wilde has the curves of a 10 year old boy. Maybe they can CGI some T and some A onto her skeletal figure.

So you think that people will go see a movie for the CHANCE of nudity?
I would like to see some evidence that movies with nudity make more money than similar movies without nudity. Fact is family friendly movies make more money than R rated movies.

There's a reason why A lot of movies go the PG/PG-13 route

http://boxofficemojo.com/alltime/adjusted.htm

Same reason why Maxim outsells Playboy.

Back to the subject, some actresses won't show the goods because it can conceivably shorten their career.

I mean from the perspective of an actress. Does it really matter if your actually naked or *wink* naked? Your tits are still in a movie and we already knew you made poor life decisions when you decided to be an actress in the fist place.

It depends on the genre, I'd say.

Will people rush out to see...I dunno, Jerry Maguire cuz you can see the side of Kelly Preston's booby bouncing around?  Probably not.

But I think people are more likely to see Piranha 3DD with the promise of lots of nudity.  It's one of the few reasons I bothered to watch the first one (which was actually quite fun).

And before anyone answers with a snide "Dude...there's this thing called the internet...."  I like to have some context with my nudity every once in a while.  Shit!

yes.  if i have to see a chick flick, i'd much rather see one that has some nudity so i have something to look forward to.  but i'm selfish that way.  i'm sure nudity doesn't sell THAT many tickets, but it does sell extra tickets.

i know your speaking on average, but hangover made a shit load of money.  a lot more than some other family movies.

i was gonna see piranha 3d to see 3d boobies, but then i heard there was also 3d schlong so i skipped it.

It's a 3d severed schlong.  It's not like it makes you feel gay for watching it, which is what I'm assuming the problem is? ( :blum_mini: )

Great ending, that movie.

I read just yesterday that since her divorce, she's packed on some weight, if that helps.

Better articles and an oversaturation of internet porn killing print porn?
