It's not even really internet fantasy booking as much as it is the gimmick the vignettes portrayed.

don't try to justify your shitty internet booking.  monster heels are yesterday's news.  no one wants to see that AGAIN.  unique and vibrant characters like funkasarus are the wave of the future.

makes you think...if only red rooster was born 20 years later.  ahead of his time.

I have no problem with them going in a better direction at the sacrifice of story continuity.

I also do not understand how Brodus as comedy act destroying guys is gonna run out of guys to squash any faster than Brodus as monster act destroying guys.  The whole "he eventually has to wrestle real matches" argument wouldn't be any less applicable.

If the plan is for it to take 10 years for Brodus to get over, then sure use Mark Henry as a template.   I think thats a shitty plan myself.

I didn't say anything about story continuity.  I was pointing out how silly your "internet fantasy booking" comment was considering how the vignettes portrayed Clay.

It's two separate things, he may be bad in the ring either way, but I'd rather see him as a monster than a Funkasaurus.

I would use him like  Meng personally.  There's nothing wrong with a midcard monster heel.  Although, I will say that I wish WCW had given Meng more of a legitimate push from time-to-time like Mark Henry finally received.

Mark Henry's story worked because he beat Randy Orton clean 2 PPV's in a row in title matches.
The equivalent for Brodus would be beating CM Punk clean 2 straight PPV's in title matches.

If you think that would eventually happen, you haven't been paying attention.

What part of "midcard monster" don't you understand though?  Midcard monsters don't need to beat CM Punk twice on PPV to attain that level.

i guess i have a faulty memory.  i didn't realize mark henry was pushed as a monster heel his entire career and has never been injured.

Also people were actually getting behind Mark Henry being pushed harder as a face or a heel before WWE got behind Henry.  For example his WWECW run.

I just don't get why they would give the guy this platform, see him get as over as you'd expect an ex-NXT guy to get over, and then pull him from TV.  At least give the guy one feud?

I think it's the fact that he's had trouble, on TWO occasions, getting his pants pulled off before the big pose at the end of his entrance.  They're taking him off TV so he can work on his pants pulling/stomping technique.  Otherwise, he's ready to go.

I wore a pair of pants like that today.  No issues ripping them off btw.
