Clemson Tigers National Championship Thread

Were you expecting any different?  I've been predicting undefeated seasons on a1 for nearly a decade now.  Kyle Parker coming back guarantees at least an ACC Championship.

If I was a mod that was willing to abuse my power I'd delete or modify the shit out of this thread.  As it is I'll give you an E for effort and an H for homer.  I will be shocked if Clemson wins the ACC, but who knows.

Let's get into real discussion.  Why is it so far out there for us to win the ACC?  We had the lead in the ACC Championship game with 90 seconds left last year.  Our freshman QB is now a seasoned sophomore.  Our OLine is predicted by Phil Steele to be top ten in the country.  We replace CJ Spiller with two super studs (btw, Ellington averaged 7.5 yards per carry last year, which was 1st on the team).  We lose Jacoby Ford, but replace him with Nuke Hopkins and a plethora of 4* WRs.  We're better at TE.  Our entire DL comes back minus Ricky Sapp (which is also rated by Phil Steele to be top 5 nationally).  We lost one linebacker who had meaningful snaps, and we have a 1st team All-American at Safety, leading a group that each had over 600 snaps each last year.  We're better at every position minus RB, where I don't think you'll see much drop off overall, just less homeruns.  The only spot we'll see significant drop off at this year is in the return game.  I fully expect to be in Charlotte early December watching us whoop some Hokie ass.

to be fair to Brandon, based on what I've seen, Clemson may very well be the best team in the ACC.  Now granted the ACC is a pathetic conference and doesn't deserve a single team in the top 25, but Clemson was at least competitive against a mid-level SEC team.  Excluding UNC, I'm not sure there is any other team in the ACC that could even beat Miss State

There's no way you actually believe this.  First, Auburn is expected to battle Alabama for the West.  Hardly a mid level team.  Two, the SEC East is worse than either division in the ACC this year.  Florida State, Miami, Clemson, NC State, Georgia Tech, and UNC could possibly beat any team in the SEC outside of Alabama.

You are a drug induced lunatic if you think the ACC is even half as good as you are portraying it here.  I'm not even an SEC fanboy - the ACC just sucks.  Thankfully the Big East is around to make them look slightly less embarrassing than they actually are.

Auburn may very well be in the mix, but they aren't the top pick to challenge BAMA in the West.  They may beat BAMA, they may be in the mix, but Arkansas is the team that has gotten the most pub for challenging in the West (I think they are overrated, hopefully BAMA proves that on Saturday).  Auburn is more considered a work in progress imho.

Painful loss the other night Brandon.  I feel for you, but AU isn't an SEC elite at this point although I think they are trending in the right direction.

Can't wait for Clemson and South Carolina to play in the Auburn Beat Us Both Bowl later this year.
