Goodbye, City of Heroes.
« on: October 02, 2012, 04:16:26 PM »
Just got this email:

Quote
Although it is one of the toughest decisions we've had to make, we will close
City of Heroes
® on November 30, 2012, and conclude this wonderful chapter in our history.
We thank you for being with us every step of the way, for sharing our challenges, and for encouraging us to consistently improve City of Heroes. We couldn't have done it without you.
The development team enjoyed crafting City of Heroes into such a beloved game, and we hope you will focus on the good things you remember about playing rather than dwelling on the "how" and the "why" of this decision.
To honor City of Heroes and the impact it has had on its players and in our hearts, we plan on hosting several events. We'll share exact details and the timing of these events shortly, so please keep an eye out for further information posted in the City of Heroes forums.

That's too bad.  It predates WoW, so it had a good run...

Yea I heard about that.  I would occassionally sign in and play a new character for a few weeks then never touch it again for a few months but always enjoyed my time when it.  I think I had the most fun with the character creator and will be sorry to see that go most of all

Good bye Ravonette.  Good bye Horrorpop.

Good bye Victory Server.

Good bye stupid pubbies caught cyber-sexing in Atlas Plaza.

Good bye Satanic Hamster, the mad Ayn Randian furry who tried to get the Goonsquad banned.

Good bye, horribly-led Hamidon raids that lasted for 12+ hours because no one would listen to the raid captains and fag up the raid channel with calls for Rez.

But most of all, good bye Goonsquad.  I'd have never stayed as long as I did if I'd been stuck in some shitheap Pubbie group.
