Any early thoughts on this game?

My only thought so far is that I'm irritated with one guy over on another board who thinks it's ridiculous to point out that it's the first time brothers have faced off in a Super Bowl. His thought is that they are the first brothers to both be HCs at the same time that it's a dumb thing to mention. I think he's a knucklehead because it's a pretty cool accomplishment that both not only got to the Super Bowl, but did so in the same year. It's also factually accurate so I don't see what his gripe is.

Oh well, I'm pulling for the Ravens I guess. I don't care for either team though.

I would pull for the 49ers but I think that Colin Kaepernick guy is going to get exposed as an average QB. I really wanted the Falcons to get a Super Bowl appearance and for Tony Gonzales to get a Super Bowl ring, but the officials in that game against the 49ers didn't want that.

This goes back to the Niners kicking sand in our faces when we were hapless and in the NFC West. You don't forget the sting of losing games by 5 TDs where your only points were a FG by your starting QB.

Not sure who to root for. I probably dislike the 49ers more, but if they win, this ups the odds of a Super Bowl hangover next season and gives the Giants a better chance to climb back up the mountain.

In recent years, I would bet on the lesser talented team who is hotter and luckier. The Giants have solidified my theory.

The Ravens aren't as good as the Niners and they needed one of the all-time great screwups in playoff history to even get past the Broncos. Then, the Pats lost their top CB and Tight End. I am not saying they aren't a good team, but they got some luck on their side and luck usually is enough to get it done.

its hard to kick sand in one's face when it is already face down in it.

the falcons were horrible throughout the 80' and most of the 90's............it wasn't the 49ers job to stop themselves from scoring

i just want to point out...again...that i fucking left the bay area and since then the giants have one 2 rings and the niners are now in SB.

clearly, i did something after highschool that made me a fucking black cloud.

well, at least ive moved my black cloud near dallas.
