I don't think it's about making excuses as much as it is about putting it in perspective.  One of Brodus Clay's dancers got popped for a DUI and was suspended for X amount of time, etc.  When this news broke about Swagger I saw someone on another board say that, "He should be fired, I would be in my job."  Well that's all fine, but that's not how WWE handles this and exactly how the scenario played out may also be a factor.
