As I addressed in the podcast, fighting piracy is like fighting a Hydra. Chop off one head, another one grows. But just letting piracy run rampant isn't a solution either.
There's a happy medium, I agree.
But if one has to err, I think it's good policy to keep anti piracy measures from affecting paying customers.. Or, if that's not possible, do something for your customer base to offset the measures.
Bottom line, a paying customer shouldn't have to pay the price for other people's theft, on principle. Or more pragmatically, if you pay money, and your experience is
worse then that of a pirate, that simply makes customers feel like shmucks, and encourages piracy, in the long run..
