I hate my job so I decided to take a 3 month leave of absence to decide what I should do with my life. I know that I want to travel during these 3 months, and so far it's a choice between backpacking through South America for a few weeks, or driving along the west coast of the USA. Since I'm going alone, I'm leaning towards the road trip idea since Americans speak a language that resembles English, and current gas prices make it very affordable. Plus, I keep hearing that American girls are sluts and I want to get in on some of that action.
I know that SCB lives in CA, but I can't remember who else on this site is on the west coast. Anyway, my tentative route is to cross the border into Montana, drive west to Washington and then stop in Seattle for a bit. Then south to see Portland, San Francisco and San Diego with some stops along the way in rural areas. It would be nice to check out the Napa valley and some of the national forests in California. Then I'd hit Arizona and start heading back north through Utah, Colorado and Wyoming (gotta see Yellowstone).
Anybody here living in any of these places who would want to get together for a beer? Maybe let me pitch my tent in your yard for a night? Maybe introduce me to your slutty sister or cousin? Also I will give you TWO American dollars to let me shower in your home, and another TWO American dollars to let me wash a load of laundry
. Or, just the beer if you're not keen on letting strange internets into your house.
Also, in this thread feel free to suggest places to visit, sites to see, or things to experience while I'm in your country. I'm taking my snowboard and my mountain bike with me as well, so if you know of any good biking trails or ski hills you should go ahead and share this knowledge with me.
