Raw is Snowed-out?
« on: January 26, 2015, 12:53:55 PM »
So, I saw that Raw is more than likely cancelled.

What will they do?  some sort of RR recap?  A 3 hour Network commerical?

Bad timing to kick off the start of WM season, but after last night, a lot of people where already unhappy

I feel like Vince may cry. The hits just keep on coming!

But yeah, three hours of what will air tonight? This is a pretty big deal. If I were WWE I'd get in touch with USA and just air a movie or something. No use trying to get a shitty rating for a shitty 3 hour best of show. They're definitely not gonna replay that Rumble, unless they CGI a different crowd into it.

STAMFORD, Conn., January 26, 2015 – Due to the impending blizzard in the Northeast and statewide travel bans, WWE has postponed tonight’s live event in Hartford and cancelled tomorrow night’s live event in Boston; however, WWE will emanate live tonight at 8 p.m. ET from its studios in the Stamford world headquarters.

Dollard to Donuts this will still probably be better than a standard Raw.

As long as Roman Reigns looks strong, it will be alright.

They are replaying the Triple Threat and The Rumble itself.

Those poor saps that ordered the PPV...

They had no choice but to do this, although I will be shocked if they keep the boos in. Probably pipe in those fake sounding Smackdown cheers.

They've already edited it on the Network, from what I understand.

A Best of 2014 Highlight Show was my initial thought.

The SMART decision is actually to put up shows that are exclusive to the Network.  It would be new content not making people who ordered the PPV feel like they wasted there money anymore than they likely already feel like.  That and it's great advertisement for your network since all you ever do is talk about the price and not the content.  Show an episode of Countdown, Rivalries, NXT, Monday Night Warrior, or any other number of exclusives

I think replays of Monday Night War would have been a great idea

Episodes of NXT.

Then sit back and watch the subscription rates skyrocket to peak WoW numbers.

Honestly, I would have played [R]evolution for the first two hours, inserting the interview segments, and then given away the first episode of Road to WrestleMania XXX for free on cable instead of playing it on the Network afterwards.

"Ok Paul E., how can we save this?" I can only imagine that is what happened, because somehow, someway, they made a RAW that was cancelled, with no live in ring segments or matches, entertaining. The interview segments were all good to great. Starting with Rollins and ending with Brock and Reigns face to face. That's the Reigns I can live with, not the fucking sufferin' succutash shit. He and Brock, limited talkers no doubt, both delivered a solid segment for a match that no one wanted to see. Paul E. building up Reigns' family lineage was great. Solid build already, man. I think they may have found the solution. Not only that, by Bryan got an interview as well, and his slight digs at Reigns and being adamant that his quest for the title will continue has given me hope that we may some some interesting stuff between Reigns and Bryan at some point too. Yeah I wanna see Bryan vs. Lesnar, but they've actually turned me around on Reigns vs. Lesnar. It could still suck but if they keep a serious build like they started last night, it could work. For me. The fans may still try to piss on it, but it'll be interesting.

Rasslin'! Even when it fails miserably, it can pull you back in the next day. If they had they had just kept Bryan in until the end, and changed some shit around, Reigns still could have won and not got the terrible reaction that he got. It wouldn't have been good no matter how you slice it, but they literally ruined the Rumble when Bryan went out so early. They were out of their fucking minds and I still have no idea why they did that.

People would be fine with Reigns if it was quiet Reigns from The Shield. The one who says 8 words and smirks like a dick. Instead, they try to make him into Cena and the fans over 8 all hate Cena.

Yep. And if Bryan hadn't been part of The Rumble, I'm positive Reigns would have been cheered.

I agree if Bryan wasn't available for the Rumble.  If he was active, but not in the Rumble I fear Roman would've gotten similar treatment.

Yeah that's what I meant. If Bryan was active but not in the rumble, it would have been a repeat of last year.

The reactions for Reigns have not been very strong for at least a month now, so I don't know if they would've cheered him had Bryan never announced his return. They certainly would've been booing once Ambrose and Ziggler were eliminated.

Not full on hate booing, but certainly no huge pop either.

The Universal HD replay of RAW showed this version of Bryan's interview.  W.T.F.?!

Yeah, I really don't think Daniel Bryan should have to put Roman Reigns over in an interview.

Besides name a really great Roman Reigns match that didn't include Dean Ambrose or Seth Rollins. Now name a really great Daniel Bryan match.
