Rey Mysterio made his first post-WWE appearance in a wrestling ring at the House Of Hardcore 8 iPPV. He came out to defend Tommy Dreamer from a post-match attack by TNA Wrestling’s Eric Young and EC3. Mysterio nailed both men with his signature 619, then cut a passionate promo that he’d be “one pissed off Mexican” if he wasn’t invited to the show.
Mysterio broke into the American wrestling scene in 1995, where he helped introduce fans to Lucha Libre. Rey was regularly featured in ECW, WCW, and WWE with his daredevil high-flying style. He left WWE in late February, and is expected to compete in AAA and Lucha Underground.
You can purchase a download of House Of Hardcore 8, which featured a great lineup of top matches.
