WWF 1997: Bret “The Hitman” Hart was WWF’s new top heel following the infamous Wrestlemania 13 “double turn” match with Steve Austin. Fairly new to the scene was a white meat babyface “Rocky Maivia”. Long time fans know “Rocky Maivia” was The Rock’s original ring name in the WWF. They also may know that The Rock was not very popular as a white meat babyface, likely due to the violent anti-hero becoming the norm.
