WWF 1993 – Monday Night Raw was still in its premiere season. Shawn Michaels was in his original heel run as a breakout singles star. Former partner Marty Jannetty had defeated him in May to have a short-lived run with the Intercontinental Title. Michaels won the title back with assistance from his debuting bodyguard, Diesel.
