AWA, 1983 – As longtime fans know, Hulkamania ran wild in The AWA before hitting the national stage in 1984. Hogan had feuded with AWA World Champion Nick Bockeinkel for the better part of a year, and had even pinned the champion. However, due to technicalities, the belt was always awarded back to the scheming champion Bockwinkel.
