The landscape of WWE may be changing very soon.
WWE has apparently signed four major talents from New Japan Pro Wrestling. Specifically former IWGP Heavyweight and TNA World Champion AJ Styles, current IWGP Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura, and former IWGP Tag Team Champions Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows. All four men were featured prominently in last night’s Wrestle Kingdom 10 event at The Tokyo Dome.
While it is not known when any of these talents will actually debut, it is believed that Nakamura will stay around for a while given that he is currently still a champion. It’s likely, although not confirmed, that they will first go to NXT before debuting on the main roster.
This is actually a return to WWE for Gallows, who of course had a run as “Festus” and “Luke Gallows” before being released from his contract a number of years back. Nakamura had been rumored to be WWE-bound for a while, as discussed in a recent episode of The A1 Podcast. It also puts the top heel faction of The Bullet Club in an interesting predicament, as they will be without their leader and main tag team.
