In honor of the late great Nick Bockwinkel, A1-Wrestling.com will dedicate this week’s Matches Of The Week to Nick Bockwinkel matches.
AWA, 1983 – Nick Bockwinkel was in his third reigns as AWA World Heavyweight Champion. The AWA held a major even called Super Sunday, featuring Bockwinkel defending the title against “The Incredible” Hulk Hogan. This was of course two years before WrestleMania, and several months before Hogan’s WWF return that launched WWF’s national expansion.
