WWE Battleground 2015 Thread
« on: July 19, 2015, 07:34:39 PM »
I've thought this for a while now, but I'm really digging Corey Graves' commentary/analysis.

Half an hour until show time, we're about to get R-Truth vs. Barrett.

Corey Graves is doing a great job.

We start with the King What's Up vs. King Barrett blowoff.

Looks like Truth caught Barrett in the nose with that dropkick. He's bleeding well.

Orton wins with a RKO OUTTA NOWHERE after being in a cloverleaf for a minute or so.

That was a pretty good opener. Randy Orton is so weird because he is either the most boring wrestler or the most fun to watch. It really seems like it's so easy for him that he gets bored with his own matches, so it's awesome when he decides to have fun and start doing stupid shit. This started with his matches against Christian when he started doing splits and just laughing to himself.

Maybe it's because I care so little, but good gravy Barret vs. Truth was dull.

So they're wrestling... and they're wrestling... and they're wrestling... and they're wrestling...

Pretty decent match, although Woods took a lot away from it. PTP retains with O'Neil's Clash Of The Titus.

PTP got a great dynamic now with Titus just wrecking the world everytime he steps into the ring. New Day continues to be entertaining and good in the ring.

Rumor has it that Sting may wrestle at Summerslam and he may be involved with Bray Wyatt. So, maybe Bray wins this match through shenanigans to keep him strong for Sting.

Cole gave JBL a chance to put over Waylon Mercy, but JBL didn't seal the deal.

Bray Wyatt is like Jake Roberts in that he will always be around and can have the occasional main event feud, but damn he is crap in the ring and basically has no direction.

They might want to have Wyatt win just to give him a big win and look strong, and then Roman wins in a rematch or something to continue his build. They keep cutting Wyatt's legs out from underneath him.

Or like Raven.  Needs his more talented sidekick to make his matches interesting (Luke Harper/Stevie Richards).

I can honestly barely remember Raven's in ring skills because he mostly had garbage matches. He was great at that though.

It's probably best for his character to lose cleanly for the first time sooner than later, I just don't think this is the match to have that happen.

And Luke Harper helps Bray win with a Stevie Kick 8)

That match picked up a lot in the second half from the apron lariat on.

Yeah, much better in the 2nd half. Almost seemed like they were told to stretch it out.
