Some of them are truly bizarre. This latest I heard about with the Nyger Morgan incident.

Morgan being a dickhead notwithstanding, Volstad apparently threw at him the second time (which set off the brawl), because after beaning him early in the game, Morgan (who's team was trailing by 11 runs) stole two bases.

Apparently, one of the Unwritten Rules of Baseball is, when your team is getting creamed by double-digit runs, you stop competing and just try to get the game over with. Especially when we put you on base by deliberately drilling you in the back with a fastball.

If you're winning by 11 runs, stealing bases to pad your stats might be bad form, but when you're losing?

Nyjer Morgan should be allowed to stomp on the face of every Marlin player. Fuck them. First they were pissed because he railroaded the catcher, which was legit in the situation. Then they get pissed because he was stealing bases in like the 4th inning? Who the fuck are they to dictate how the other team plays the game? What a bunch of bitches, fuck the Marlins. Baseball's untimed, and as long as you don't make outs, you've got a chance. The Phils proved that when they put a 9-spot on the Rox last night. Morgan was just trying to help his team win. He should get a medal, not thrown at.

Hey, at least in baseball, when two guys start something, you get up to 30 people rushing in to at least pull them apart. In hockey, everyone just stands around watching, like fights are a legitimate aspect of the sport.
