"No hurry douchebag, the princess is just getting raped."

"I know you want to get the most out of this game but our friend just keeps getting raped."

"Make sure you check eeevery nook and cranny, they're probably still raping her."

lol.

Just wrapped up some Telltale games action. Episode 5 of Batman, and Episode 6 of Game of Thrones. They both had some pretty substantial endings and set up the next season really well.

I liked Batman, bur never played GOT.

Would you say it's about as good?  (I'd say that about Wolf Among us, ftr.  Good enough to play all five episodes in a single sitting.)

Think I also have Kings Quest episode 1 somewhere..  Should dig it out before a sale comes along on the rest of it.

Think I have Kings Quest

I would say that GoT is good, but Batman is pretty superior, at least IMO. GoT is much less action based, though there is some at the start and end. GoT is more truly an interactive movie with some action bits, and Batman is closer to 60/40 on that part.

Lost Oddysey.  Bought it on the Spring sale.

Heard it was free to Gold members, but if it was I missed it (Maybe it was only for Xbox One owners?)

NHL 17. Doesn't seem any different than 16. Save your $. I only bought it cause it was on the Xbox spring sale and it was $22, not $70.

Got Thunder Wolves on the cheap, a pretty nice arcade shooter.  Think Saints Row III/IV helicopter missions, and you won't be too far off.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo "HD Remix".  Bought it on impulse along with SF3 Online and Super Puzzle Fighter II.

Loving it, but I don't think I'll ever be able to fight Akuma. Just not that good to clear the game without losing once, even on easy.

(Had some bonus entertainment from looking for some faqs, and finding out the fighting game community had a meltdown over the balance changes.  Only in competitive fighters, you don't see Pac-Man or Doom fans having a revolt over every tweak or release.  :) )

I bet Capcom figured nobody but vets and tournament players would buy Marvel vs Capcom 2, because easy difficulty is other game's "very hard".

Finally beat it, by shamelessly picking three Cable's and just spamming the gun and assists. :)

I think I'm well past action games now.

Transformers:  Devastation's "magnus difficulty" a.k.a. "very hard" just isn't fun.  Once upon a time, being chewed up and spat out only to improve was a good time, but now it's just a chore..

Raystorm HD.

Was torn between that, Raiden IV, Raiden Fighters Aces, and Rez HD.

No regrets, the game's awesome.  Got torn up by the review sites like Gamespot/IGN way more then it deserved, with an odd complaint about a 15 dollar price tag being too much.

Lets see, Raiden IV is a 20 dollar digital download, and it used to be 40!  Ikaruga has always been 15, Raiden Fighters Aces is 20, most Cave games like Deathsmiles are around 15-20, and this one package that includes Eschatos and Judgement Sword is nearly 60!

So where are all these shmups on Xbox Live Arcade that are better then Raystorm, and far less expensive?

Best I could figure, the reviewers either have a personal bias against the thing (They often talk up Ikaruga in the process), or they assume Raystorm just doesn't have the cult following of a lot of other shmups, and so show their true colors against the entire genre when they feel there's no one to cater to and draw in those clicks..

Rez HD.  For 10 bucks, it's practically an impulse buy.

Game's a party in a can.  In other words, it's LOUD like a party.

I love it, but depending on where you live, this isn't the type of game you can play without a headset (And unlike on a laptop/desktop, setting up a headset is tricky..)

Dragon's Dogma:  Dark Asisen.

Like this way more then Skyrim.  Fun, but the stat system kind of restricts your class choice a bit (Assassin builds strength, Wizards builds mana, Ranger builds stamina ect.  The game breaking part is only two stats worth a damn, being offensive strength or magic.)  and it only auto saves at events/towns, so it could set you back pretty far if you die grinding or free exploring.

I hear they're remastering it for PS4/Xbone.

Fantastic game that I've only ever played far enough to get to the major city of XD

I really want to play it more but I keep making it there and the size of the world and openness is really overwhelming and daunting.

That and it's on my PC which I'm in the process of upgrading so gaming on it has come to a halt while I work on Platinuming my PS4 exclusive games.

Just starting up a play through of Kingdom Heart HD 1.5 Final Mix

Try just randomly exploring.  You come across so much shite.

And it gets really good on Bitterblack Isle.  Won't spoil why, but it's like Links darkverse, all the awesome stuff happens there.

The main thing is stocking the right skills for wandering..  Like, a sniping skill is a must (Mobs have a limited area, so backpeddling and sniping along the outskirts is go-to weapon of last resort), and there's defensive skills that save on stamina (Assassin's forward roll lets you evade and build stamina back up, and bonus it's faster then running without the stamina burn, so just roll everywhere outside)

Forget everything I said, this game throws tactics back in your face depending on enemy.

Just exploring around, you'll find SO MUCH cool stuff.

Like, I was wandering around and found a goblin camp with two helmed giant slaves.  Wiped it out, then moved to an area a few feet over, and a damned giant stone golem appears out of nowhere.  And then I found a sword in a stone right there, and pulled out a flaming sword.

Skyrim doesn't even compare to this game.  No wonder they're remastering it, it's like every fantasy gamers wet dream.  Even boring escort missions have you running into drakes and such (Tip:  The game tells you to run for a reason.  Damage calculations are based on your combined offense to their defense, e.g. Drake has 400 defense, you have 399 attack, you will NOT do any damage.  At all.)

Killed a dragon.  :)  (Drake, technically, but looked like one of Dany's children.)

Hear tell the drake is tougher then the end boss.

Sonic 3 and Knuckles, as Knuckles.

Glad I was a Nintendo kid, now I get to play all the games from the competiton dirt cheap on any number of a billion sources.  Obviously, that would not be the case if I was an edgy "What Nintendon't" brat. :)

Been playing the Megaman X collection, and got a bit frustrated at the spider boss in the Sigma levels, so decided to switch out and try Zero in X4 (From the proper Playstation disc on a PS2, not the collection.  Learned that the texture smoothing function causes glitch's on an hdtv..)

Zero's pretty fun.  Frustrating against some bosses, especially Cyber Peacock, but it's sort of like putting Strider in a Megaman game.

I've pretty much stopped playing Destiny and now split my time between Recore and Diablo 3, both on Xbox One.

Recore's bot loadout/upgrade system using parts you find as you explore and from destroyed enemies is pretty cool. I've only played Diablo 3 for a few hours so I'm still trying to figure out the socketing/jewel system. Both games look great and are fun to play. Recore has some difficult jumping puzzles but it's fairly easy to catch on to once you've made a couple attempts.
