There really needs to be stricter financial rules in soccer.
Chelsea just bought Loic Remy to be their backup to their backup striker. Due to injury, he was going to start for Arsenal for a few months. Arsenal, is also a title contender this season and has loads of cash.
So, Chelsea buys him just to spite Arsenal. That is ridiculous. Remy isn't amazing, but you can't stack away guys who scored 14 goals in the league as your backup's backup just to spite someone. When top teams can financially blow away other top teams, you have a problem.
Man U is also at $150 Million spending and they are still trying for another $60 Million. 3 teams are the Yankees and 16 of the last 17 are the Marlins.
