i understand why anakin had to lose to obi wan.  it's because the writer had decided that in the first movie of the series.  and when he wrote the prequels he logically stayed true to that.

the fact is, he did lose to obi-wan.  he did lose to dooku.  he was a badass of all about 5 mins in three movies.  otherwise, he was a whiny emo childish bitch.
