He does still have a great shot at 20 though.

Which - if you think about it - is still a pretty great accomplishment for a guy that would probably only be a 4 or a 5 in the vaunted Braves rotation (if he could crack the rotation at all).

7 shut-out innings for Cole Hamels. Not bad for a guy who'd be lucky to be a mop-up guy for the Braves, right Dan?

Hi
Shhhhhhhh.

In all seriousness, still a lot of baseball left to be played, but I love our chances.

That yeah about that meant "I'm not worried about having to change my name cause the Braves won't make the post season".

That's right, because in tdub's fantasy world, the baseball season is from arbitrary point 1, like June of one season to arbitrary point 2, like July of the next season.

The Braves appear to be in full meltdown mode at this point.  Missing a bunch of opportunities to get runners across, losing to far inferior baseball teams.  We'll see though because these teams will get to play head up soon enough.  That should go a long way to determining who wins the East.  Also the WC doesn't really look like it's the East's to own anymore either.

appearances are oh so deceiving

wasnt it last week when the mighty phils got swept in 4 games at home against the astros? these things happen to everybody.

its the response that determines if it qualifies as a meltdown.

and as I'm sure JA already knows, the 6 head-to-head games (and more specifically the first 3 days of October) are what will crown the 2010 nl east champion atlanta braves the 2010 nl east champions.

I've known all along this was going to be a fight. I wasn't the one who posted a picture of an animated lion roaring when my team got into first place or have been arrogant about my squad all along. Gee, I wonder who was? Hmm...

I don't know though, I guess maybe we all can't be lucky to have 12 pitchers better than Cole Hamels  ::)
