That controller will be interesting.  Can't wait to get my hands on one of these.

To wait and buy this, or to get a PS3 now...

Is Uncharted "really" as good as everyone says it is?  Or is that "We have it, and you don't" hype from PS3 owners?

They're just not discontinuing the PS2, so I'm pretty certain they'll be supporting the PS3 for a few more years at least.  Honestly, I'm waiting, won't get at launch, especially since there won't be any backwards compatibility for the discs.

With the cloud stuff, has me somewhat worried with how IP's are starting to cap data in some places.

I do like the second screen App

I'll be sticking with the current gen for the next couple of years at least. Experience has taught that the best time to be a console owner is at the beginning of the "next" gen. Current systems are still supported and all of the games you want are the cheapest they've ever been.

I'll buy a 720 and I'll probably get a PS4 as well. Not for a while though.

That conference felt very much like a "we have to reveal something, anything, to get in before Microsoft" btw... Besides a controller with an input method that will be forgotten about 12 months into its lifespan, what did they really show or tell us about the machine? Nothing that hadn't already been speculated about.

I usually don't jump on next-gen systems right away because of potential hardware issues. I usually wait for a hardware revision or two.

Probably a wise decision.  My PS2 has had a ton of use, and been problem free..  My 360 seems to be running strong too, knock on wood (Still afraid I'm jinxing it, because you know, 360 = high rate of failure even now....)

Wait too long and you feel like you're playing catch up on old titles, though..

Sony:  We learned nothing from the Killzone 2 hype!

Product Launch using demo systems and no real hardware in sight.

Rumor is the games are going to cost $100. Fuck that (if it's true).

Yeah dude, as of now that rumor is true, but I'm sure things will change as more information is released.  But if you want to go ahead and preorder through the link above, feel free, I'm sure Prime would really appreciate it!

Awesome!

We can all stay stuck on last gen games together, for a change.

Everyone can dust off their PS2's and original Xbox's, and we'll buy old games from those retro stores popping up everywhere like Game Xchange.  It'll be a blast.  ^_^

I can't imagine that being true, especially since it reportedly won't play used games.  that's a double whammy that'll probably alienate most purchasers.

And won't ms use some kind of anti used game technology, on all games?

This coming gen isn't looking good.

No. Sony have patented something that can do this and presumably Microsoft have something similar in the works BUT, unless both companies agree to it, then neither will do it - because if only one does it then everybody will buy the other system.

The used games market is too valuable to all involved for them to kill it anyway.

Also $100 a game? Nah, the first gen games will be $50 - $60 and they'll reduce in price as the generation goes on, just like always.
