F'N Arsenal
« on: August 16, 2013, 11:32:52 PM »
This French bastard Wenger keeps his job due to a miraculous finish and finally says he is going to spend money to make the team better. Talks about a $70 Million war chest. MOTHERFUCKER DIDN'T SPEND A DIME! He actually cut a bunch of players, so he even saved money this offseason.

I hate the Premier League. If you don't spend a fortune, you have no shot and Arsenal is just pocketing their profits. I should just quit soccer until the World Cup when I pretend to give a fuck about American soccer for 2 weeks.

Wenger built Arsenal, he'll decide when he goes.

The Transfer window is still open for another 17 days, I think.

Also, this match is GREAAAAAT.

Well, that ended poorly.

Wenger does not decide because he hasn't won a trophy in 8 years and is sitting on $70 Million. When you win Trophies regularly, you can pick your spots. When you don't and the fans are ready to burn your shiny new stadium to the ground, you will get booted.

Arsenal was the best team in the league down the final stretch and it was not built upon. Now, the price for Suarez just went up to $50 Million, that's if he is even for sale. Justa disaster. First opening season loss since 2000 and it was to a relegation zone team at home. It is going to be a shit storm until the transfer window is closed.

Arsenal is owned by a stupid american, and he only cares about profit. Arsene is the only manager who has actually managed to make a profit in this stupid sport in the premier league. THere's no way he's going anywhere unless season ticket purhases go down. He'll do a smash and grab again, and hoist them up. I think he's going soon anyway, and my personal theory is that he's reluctant to spend any money because the next guy could come along with a big wodge of cash and rebuild the team as he likes. THeory, anyway.

Yeah, but.....fuck, you're right.

Still, the fans are already revolting. Getting booed off the field at home after the fans were chanting "Spend Some Money" is an indicator that 4th place will not be a trophy this year.

Arsenal Bummed Fenerbahce to qualify for the Champions League.

Arsene then said the Transfer Window starts Now for him.

Then Arsenal played Fulham, and Bummed them too.

Then he said he wasn't going to sign anyone till the second leg of the Fenerbahce thing.

He's also bringing back Mathieu Flamini, who while good, was best about five years ago, when he left Arsenal and made them cry the first time.

THIS IS ARSENAL.

Giroud looks a bit tasty though.

Giroud has been killing it since the preseason and Ramsey may actually be realizing his potential, but when every other top team appears to be getting better, you can't just stand pat. They qualified for the Champions League over Tottenham by 1 goal and look what the Spurs have done in the offseason. No way they don't drop to 5th unless they sign some talent.

Soldado is good. They haven't got a superstar in, to replace Bale going, but everyone they've got have added depth to their lineup. You could have a slew of injuries to the Spurs team, and the replacement would be just/nearly as good.

Arsenal have a good first eleven but it's just shocking what would happen to them with injuries and redcards.

Like, Koscielny is one of the best defenders in the league, but if he's out, then Sagna, one of the best right backs in the league has to move over, Jenkinson comes on and he's alright. But if someone gets injured in that match, things are fucked. There's no like for like replacement.

And there's 1 (one) recognised goalscoring striker. If Giroud misses a game, we're proper fucked. or if he has a cold streak like he did at the start of last season, that's it.

It's not shocking what would happen to Arsenal with injuries or red cards, because we know what would happen: Week 1 against Aston Villa.

Podolski had 16 goals last year in all competitions, so he has some talent. Arsenal just has too many "Very good" players on offense and no star. They had Van Persie, but they let him go to Man U so he can "earn a trophy".

Podolski has a foot like a traction engine, but he's a winger. Arsene doesn't want to play him in the middle, he wants him to cross the ball to a Big Man Up Front, or unleash hell with his foot from the side. And if keeping him there is good enough for germany, it's good enough for Arsenal. He's got like a goal every other game playing for the German national team which is frankly shithot. And he's only 27 or so, still approaching peak.

RVP is a cunt.

LOL TOTTENHAM.

Spent like $100 Million compared to Arsenal's $4 this offseason and they still lose 1-0 to a very shorthanded Gunners squad. Giroud with a very pretty goal. Tottenham played a better second half, but Arsenal was worthy of a win.

I just hope Arsene doesn't put his wallet away before the deadline tomorrow thanks to this win.

He gave an interview after the match where he said maybe he had one or two surprises, or maybe not. Then he smirked Gallicly. Seasoned Wengerwatchers interpret this as him having signed the entire first eleven of Bayern Munich.

Hell, I'll be happy as long as he just gets more players for the bench because right now he just has.....the bench.

That .Gif is fucking brilliant, as the English would say.

Excellent signing that I swear he had no intention of making if Arsenal did not get beaten by Aston Villa in the opener. Still, this helps the team greatly. I don't think they are Championship contenders yet, but it wouldn't surprise me if they finished ahead of Man U as long as they stay healthy(big if) and Giroud is the real deal (slightly smaller if).

Oh, to knock off Man U for 4th and watch those bastards and VAN PERSIE miss the Champions League would make my dick hard for months. It's far fetched, but not ridiculous. After all, the general consensus is that Chelsea are the uncrowned champions, followed by Man City. So, 2 spots left between Arsenal, Man U, Tottenham and Liverpool. Tottenham will get better once their new arrivals gel together and maybe Liverpool is for real, though I doubt it.

Oh dear God, fuck Man U.

Look who is top of the table.

And on a day where the two Manchester clubs lose on the same day in the Premier League for the first time in 5 years.

I have to say, I'm rather enjoying this.

I was afraid that with the low number of signings, and the injury crisis of every year, Arsenal would be violently bummed. Now it's not loking too bad as the young boys of the team are doing well. If this team stays together for the next few years, it could grow to something very good indeed with a couple of star signings.

That goal belongs in a museum with velvet ropes around it because it was fucking art.

That opening season loss to Aston Villa forced Wenger to get Ozil and gave the team hope that it won't be the same old way. Plus, Man U still hasn't won back to back games this season. Please Jesus, make Van Persie miss the Champions League. I know you are real and have magical wish granting powers. Please do this. I have offered up the Miami Dolphins season as a sacrifice in your name.

You guys aren't true Arsenal fans until you're lamenting the teams good fortune.  Disaster is always a game away and any success is a bad omen.

Well, they have been hit hard by injuries this year. Maybe the next time Giroud goes limping off I will throw a chair and scream "This always fucking happens!".

After losing to Dortmund (albeit in the final 10 minutes) and a 2-0 loss to Chelsea, today was a huge victory. No one gives a shit about the Capital One Cup, so better to just bow out of it and have more rest days. They have already played 5 more games than Liverpool due to the tournaments, so it will catch up sooner or later.

Cazorla with a pretty goal off of a lucky bounce and then Ramsey with a fucking gem. Liverpool has no oneoutsie of Suarez and Sturridge, who can't even get along on the pitch. So, Arsenal essentially double and triple teamed them all game and Liverpool had no answer. Some chances, but nothing amazing.

With Chelsea's surprise loss, Arsenal are 5 points clear at the top of the table. Spurs and Everton play tomorrow. Since Everton won't last, I hope they pull it out.

I can't wait for Podolski to return and add more weapons. So far, so good.
