The Royal Rumble is usually the start of the Road To WrestleMania. It’s also around the time WWE announces their first inductees for the year’s Hall Of Fame Class. This year was no exception.
WWE is set to announce The Hart Foundation as the newest inductees. While the team took many forms over the years, PWInsider reports that it will be the original lineup of Bret “The Hitman” Hart and the late Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart managed by “The Mouth Of The South” Jimmy Hart.
The Hitman and Anvil are two time WWE Tag Team Champions, and originally debuted in the then World Wrestling Federation as heels managed by Jimmy Hart. After their first run as tag champs, they split with Jimmy to become babyfaces. Then at SummerSlam 1990, they toppled Demolition for their second title reign.
Jimmy Hart was inducted to the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2005, and Bret was inducted the following year for his singles success. They will join Ric Flair as two-time Hall Of Fame inductees. Neidhart sadly passed away last year and will be inducted posthumously.
