Maybe its part of their contract that they have to go thru the company doctor for everything and its taken on good faith that, " well, I guess he's right. Why would he want to see me die?"

Also, my take was Punk was taking at his word that it was a fat deposit. He said it was routine for the boys to have them and to have them removed. He said it didn't hurt for a long time, he just found it odd that the Dr. Wouldn't remove his. My take was it was more of not wanting one of your lead horses off the table no matter what. I got that it was a shock to him when he found out how bad it really was.

If you work with this guy and your friends work with this guy and he seems to be one of you, even the meanest jerkoff in the world is apt to maybe give some benefit of the doubt to this guy.

Knowing how much of a moody prick Punk can be I found this interview fascinating. He was pissed, waited to digest things, kept his mouth shut and taked when he was ready. Mad respect for this. As Z said, he talked to his buddy, for free, instead of selling his story to the highest bidder.

It was his choice and his money to walk away from. I salute him for doing what he felt was best for him. I'm a fan of the man and this interview made me understand him a little bit better.

Selfishly, i'd love to see him back in wrestling some day but I get why he wouldn't.

Thanks for the memories Punk.

As an addendum:

I don't really like Jericho much either. I recognize that he has good matches but I don't really feel anything when I watch him. He feels like he's acting thru his moves, not doing them. If that makes any sense. Same feeling I got from Morrison. Guess I can't verbalize it.

And, as much as I love him, I can admit that Punk is very average in the ring. He can talk his balls off and is a good storyteller in the ring. His moves are weak and don't look very good. His kicks are not convincing when he's not facing 150lb ROH guys.

And I hate anybody who can't throw a good working punch. Fucking elbows and palm strikes are for pussies.

Shout out to guys who could punch. Bret Hart, Harley Race, Taker, Bossman.....

My question is: Does this work better with the streak over? I think it might. One more go round, all the marbles. More suspenseful now that Taker is vulnerable, no?

I would like a slow build with a huge sendoff for both.
