I hate International weeks.  Sucks having only two days in a week when there's football on TV, as opposed to domestic weeks where there is never not a game on.

It is nice to have a lot of games to watch again.  Swansea looked really good against Arsenal.  At least at the start and end of the second half, when they were trying like mad to equalize.  United is squashing Bolton.  We get it, they're SuperCena to the Premier League's WWE.  *yawn*

Rooney ended up with another hat-trick today.  Good for Shrek, even if the team is annoying.

Teal Bunbury of SKC nearly had one of his own against Houston.  KC won 3-0.  Playoffs, here we come!  Going to the Philly game in two weeks and probably the New York game in Oct.  Love having a team that doesn't completely suck(Hi Chiefs and Royals!).

Have the AC Milan/Barcelona game on.  Milan scored in 23 seconds.  That was nuts.

That's the strangest celebration ever.

Went to another SKC game last night, a 1-1 draw against Philadelphia Union.  Strange game it was.  KC dominated the first half, but it remained scoreless.  Second half, KC had a sweet goal from Omar Bravo.  Philly responded with a goal that looked to have gone out of bounds before being kicked into the net.  Jimmy Nielson is awesome, as is the rest of the team.

Sat Stood in the second row, just off to the side of the goal.  Awesome seats.  Need to get season tickets for next year.

Some Premier League action this morning.  Norwich City put up a valiant effort against Manchester United.  I was really hoping they'd come away with at least one point, but it wasn't to be.  Still, they kept trying.  They should be proud, because they did a lot better than some of the bigger clubs.

ManCity played destroyed Blackburn.  Didn't see it, but heard it was an impressive showing from City.

Tottenham plays Arsenal tomorrow with the replay of the game being shown on Fox proper.  Hope Arsenal can turn things around soon.

I've enjoyed watching The Canaries up against the big boys. Hoping I catch a replay of the ManUtd match.
Is Newcastle a legit threat or has it been beneficial scheduling?

Looking at who they played, most of the teams have been in the bottom half of the table.  They drew with Villa, the "best" team they've played.  Next game is against Tottenham in two weeks.  Not sure if they're a legit threat or not, but I hope they keep it up.

Sporting KC managed to stay in the top of the division tonight, drawing with San Jose.  Funny moment at the end.  San Jose scored first(it wasn't a very good game) and at the end of the replay the announcers were confused because KC was celebrating at the other end of the pitch.  Turned out that they scored about 10 seconds after the kickoff and nobody in the booth noticed.

Another fun morning of soccer(Sorry Niall).  Spurs-Arsenal was a bit boring in the first half, but got a lot better in the second.  Walker had one of the best goals so far this season.  I almost feel bad for Arsenal.  Almost.  Though their women's team did win their league in August.  Had a parade through Highbury.   :drink_mini:

Walker's goal: http://www.bing.com/videos/watch/video/tottenham-take-back-the-lead/12dksdr2

Fulham destroyed QPR 6-0.  Chelsea 5-1 Bolton, Lampard had a hat trick.

My Championship side, Birmingham City, came back from being down 0-1 to win 3-1.  Been a good week for them, having won in their Europa League group.

Now it's NFL time.  Chiefs.  :(

The US Open Cup final just ended.  That was a great game in the second half.  Seattle beat Chicago 2-0 for their third cup win.

NYRB played LA earlier, with the energy drinks beating Beckham to move up the table and stay in contention for the wildcard race.  KC hosts NY on the 15th at the final home game here.  Hope they got that "winning" crap out of their system tonight.

The USMNT played twice this week.  1-0 win over Honduras, then a 0-1 loss to Ecuador.  Really hope they can get their act together soon.

Sporting KC just drew 2-2 against Chivas Guadalajara in a friendly.  KC looked really good out there, despite getting a red card very late(I think it was in injury time, if not, it was a minute or so before).  Their next game is this Saturday against New York.  A win there will clinch a playoff spot.  Hoping to get get a ticket for that game.  $5 BBQ at the tailgate.  I love KC.  :D

Dallas beat Chicago 2-1 tonight, meaning Chicago can't finish first in the East.  Vancouver is currently ahead of DC, but it's still in the first half and anything can happen.

I don't think this has been updated with the Dallas/Chicago results, but this was the MLS Standings today:

The West is pretty much set right now, though Dallas could possibly overtake Salt Lake for third:

Western Conference PTS GP GD
ss- LA Galaxy            64   32 21
x- Seattle Sounders  57   32 17
x- Real Salt Lake       51   32 8

The East is:
Eastern Conference PTS GP GD
Philadelphia Union   47   32   9
Sporting KC             45    32  7
Columbus Crew       44   32  -3

The Wildcard race:
Wild Card Race       PTS   GP   GD
FC Dallas                46    31    2
Colorado Rapids     45    32    2
New York Red Bulls 43    32    7
Houston Dynamo    43    32    0
Portland Timbers    40    31    -6
D.C. United             38    30    0
Chicago Fire           37    31    0

Just got back from the Sporting Kansas City - New Jersey Red Bulls game.

When Thierry Henry was sent off, we cheered.  When he took forever to leave, we started mocking him.

2-0, KC is in the playoffs!

Final night of MLS regular season games.  KC just beat DC United 1-0 to clinch the top spot in the East!  Which means KC plays again on the 30th, against the highest ranked Wild Card winner.  Then they host at home on Nov 2.  Got my ticket already.  :D

"Jonny Evans always has a mistake in him"
City up a goal, up a man in the 48th minute. Looking to be 5 points clear at the top.

Wow, haven't seen it yet but just saw the result.  I thought ManUtd was supposed to be unstoppable this season?  City just steamrolled them.

It was actually amazing. I'm a late convert to football, and this had it all. Amazing defensive mistakes, amazing play, and just the best fall over in history by John Terry.

It should be on ESPN3, since they seem to put up all the games they show on there.  I didn't see it, but it sounds like a crazy mess of a game.

The MLS Playoffs are underway.  Red Bulls beat Dallas, Colorado over Columbus in the wildcard games.

Salt Lake hosted Seattle, beating them 3-0 in the first leg last night.  LA @ NYRB, SKC @ Colorado and Houston @ Philly today with the return legs on Wednesday and Thursday.

End of the first half, LA is leading NY 1-0.

LA won 1-0, Houston won 2-1.  The finish to the LA/NY game was wild, as a fight broke out after the final whistle.   Rafa Marquez(NY) and Juninho(LA) were given red cards as a result.  Houston and Philly was the better game, with a lot of good chances from both teams.

Sporting Kansas City is up next.  I Believe That We Will Win!
