As soon as lydia gets damaged enough, she'll stop attracting dudes. The risk with mages is they cast flame or something that continues to damage her while she's bowed over. Poison will lead to the same thing. Also, if you lose Lydia, just go back to the Whiterun house, she'll turn up there (unless deaded).

i'll try that next time.  i was really annoyed because i lost a whole hour.

also good to know she stops attracting attention when crouching.  i was racing over to heal her.

Surprised you're playing Skyrim first over Dark Souls, considering you made the thread about it.  :p

so far after a day and a half of playing, no crashes on ps3.  it does get choppy after 10 consecutive hours of play.  ;)

The 360 only tracks the last three auto saves. That lag comes from the file bloat. Everything you pick up, move, drop or kill gets added to the file save and once it hits 6MB it becomes unplayable.

The 360 is unaffected because it has 512 megs of unified RAM and while the PS3 also has 512 it's split with 256 for system and 256 for graphics.

They still haven't patched it yet?

Smartvideogamefan was talking about this problem two podcasts ago, so two weeks.

same here.

i'm lvl 31 and my smithing is now 100.  legendary dragonplate armor head to toe.  of course, now i see that dreago armor is slightly better for some reason.  i could have made that, but i didn't save my dreago ears from the one dungeon i fought them so far.  /shrug  dragon armor looks bad ass tho.

while mobs MAY* not level with you, it looks like when a dungeon or area is created, the mobs are created based on your level and possibly your equipment.  ive gone into the same dungeons with different level characters and the mobs were closer to the level (difficulty) of my respective character.

and it appears that the dungeons are created when you discover them.  at 31, i just entered a dungeon i discovered awhile back and the mobs are getting one shotted - vs a dungeon i just discovered where they were tougher (and it was one my lower level discovered earlier on and had an easier experience).

*it looks like sometimes the dungeon is filled with better version mobs and sometimes they are the same mobs you would have faced at any level, but tougher.

got so tired of accidentally killing lydia because she'd jump right in front of me to melee, i took away all her melee weapons.  now she pretty much has no choice but to stay back.

of course, then she proved me wrong and jumped in front of my shout and died.

do NPCs level?  i think i'm going to have to research cause if they don't, i need to find one closer to my level.

also, if you do a prison break quest with a bunch of npcs, don't even bother trying to kill things.  melee, magic, whatever, inevitable, you are going to hit someone and unlike other npcs, these ones (at least for me), will immediately turn on you (while others might ask wtf is up wit dat?).

I don't like Dragon Scale or Dragon Plate. I stuck those on the mannequins in my basement. I'm rocking a full set of double enchanted Daedra Armor so I have ridiculous stats in health, armor, carry weight and one handed. I also have the heavy armor weightless perk so I can loot a ton of shit.

While looking for a timetable on DLC I found that Todd Howard said they won't be coming out anytime soon, but they'll be a lot of them and rather large. Also, the first 30 days will be exclusive to the 360.

i like both, but i used all my draega hearts making pots.  i had no idea i would need them later.  i'm working on my enchanting now.  it's only up to 55 right now.

i also found a blade's blade in that one blade woman's basement and have made it legendary with a soul enchantment.

Finished Stormcloak campaign, finishing up the college one and hopefully done (I've said that three times now).  I have a GREAT hint for you guys for leveling up.  Go to Dragonsreach and buy the spell "muffle" from the Court Mage.  You can cast this over and over and over and over again when you are walking around (don't need a target or anything) and your illusion levels will max out in a couple of hours.  Even if you don't use illusion (I don't) you will also level up several times on that alone.

Daedric sword, 100 smithing, smithing ring/amulet/potion = 90 damage.  Excelllllent

i beat the 2 main quests last week.  i was level 51 decked out in draeda armor and dual wielding draeda swords so it was pretty easy.

i decided to start over with a rogue (who uses magic) dark elf character.  i used the exploit during the tuturial opening and got my stealth and one handed up a bit.

pick pocketing is one of the worst skills ever.  w/o pots or enchantments (not really that available at low level) it's difficult to level up.  i get caught 90% of the time which forces me to have to pay a fine and loose all of my stolen goods.

it's much easier to just walk in a store, sneak, and steal when hidden.  i mostly steal crafting goods and money - so i don't have to worry about selling it later.  tho that will change soon since i started the theives quest.

Playing this shit. Loving it.

I guess I'm going to be a Nord magic smith, kind of like the hero in "The Day the Earth Froze."

i'm on my third character.  beat the game with a tank.  could easily beat the game now with my thief.  he has ridiculous weapons and armor.  i one shotted a dragon from stealth...with my bow (also with my dagger, but that's obvious cause it's x15 dmg).  and i didn't even go berzerk with the enchant / smith pots.  i just used smithing gear.

trying out a mage now.  not usually my style, but figured i'd give it a shot.

I'm playing as a Redguard Warrior and my character is married to an Imperial woman.
I'm in the Thieves' Guild side quest but I don't know.....I'm starting to lose interest in Skyrim. Dark Souls takes up more of my time and I find it to be a lot better.
But I'm not hating on those enjoying Skyrim.

I drug out the main quest as long as I could before I finished it and knocked out the 1000. I stopped before I burnt out, but now I'm checking every week for any news of DLC. I can't wait to play Skyrim again.
