That's cool.
It's always the little things that bug me about this series.  You give us NoD Mark Henry and the NoD theme.  The movie shows Faarooq and he's in the game, but he's only in there with Acolyte and APA attire.

Blue Gladiator Farooq was pretty cool too. Imagine if they'd thrown in Ahmed?

Ahmed would have been pretty cool.  Good call on that one.

I'm trying to make an NoD with Otunga, Hunico and modern Mark Henry.  I'd like one more person, but can't think of who would fit the bill.  I wanted someone for the Crush role.

Tonight in Universe Mode, SOMETHING happened.  During the main event of CM Punk vs Brock Lesnar, all of a sudden in the middle of the match, Brock Lesnar was distracted by his own theme song.  When the cut scene was finished, Brock was outside the ring and standing near the entrance, and he had to run back to the ring.  And that was that.  The match continued as normal.  PAUL HEYMAN IS A GENIUS.

Still fun.  I enjoy customizing my cards.  Ted Dibiase is really rising up the ranks!

Next week Punk vs Lesnar square off again in a #1 Contender's match.  Wade Barrett is my champion.

It definitely has that Paul Heyman feeling.

Between matches, and I'm sending the request now.

But my "7 day trial" ends tomorrow.  Better late then never, I guess.  ^^;

If we can't play within a single day, once I buy gold, I'll give my normal sig again.  ^_^

Just found out that the Garvin Stomp and Orton's Punt are both still in the game.  I didn't see them when I looked initially and they aren't part of Orton's default moveset.

Also, I noticed that if you put a guy in a stable and set the Team Announce name for that stable it changes how he is referenced.  It says something like "Representing the Nation of Domination, Mark Henry" when he wins at least.

FINALLY all the movesets are decent. Started Universe mode last night and the first match was a pretty stellar normal match between Kofi and Ryder. Excellent back and forth action that really makes me dig this year's tweaking of an already great game.

So far I haven't even messed with CAWS. I figure most of the cool models aren't out yet?

Basically I'm just going with the existing RAW and Smackdown rosters, only with DDP, Goldust, Rikishi, Vader, Xpac and Shamrock added back into the mix.

I like the option of playing Quick matches in Universe mode.  For example the first two matches on this card are Boss Man vs Primo and Epico vs Vader so I'm going to turn them into ugly squash matches for Boss Man and Vader.

Another minor irritation is that you take all that time to setup your rosters including moving guys to where they shouldn't show up at all and they show up still.  That's stupid.

In this case I have modern Rock as the active one and Attitude Rock disabled.  Well, it was Attitude Rock that attacked me before a match.

Just read an interesting suggestion.  Basically the game should allow you to setup singles and tag ranks so your Universe isn't littered with tag wrestlers in singles matches.

For whatever reason my Universe always likes to have the Miz challenge for the US and IC titles usually on the same event.

That's unfortunate.

I do like keeping dead guys and time travelers out of my universe mode.

If modern Rock and Attitude Rock physically lock up, this will happen:

Nice, I decided to keep both Kanes active on different shows.  Since they both wear masks I justified it by saying old school Kane was an imposter.

Just a heads up for anyone on the fence about this game. Wal-Mart is having a Black Friday deal on WWE '13 for $25. In Store only, but you don't have to pick it up today.

Amazon was matching that, but I think they sold out too. At least the Wal-Mart by me was sold out.

Tried out my first match on "epic" setting and it was pretty awesome. It came out a little too long, but that was more my bad for some reluctance to bring it home in the final stretch.

Had it for 2 nights on the rental. Couldn't get past the second match (vs UT/Mankind) with DX in Attitude Era. Started the first month of Universe. Didn't get to create anything.

Most of the face renders are horrid - not even close (ie. Beth Phoenix, Zack Ryder).

Hunter too.  The 8 year old Day of Reckoning 2 has more realistic looking models.

I think the models look fine. Better that they're spending their attention on the engine IMO. The TNA game had better graphics, no doubt, and we all know how that played.

Oh yeah, the graphics are just a minor thing for me too.

Gameplay wise, I think we've finally caught up with No Mercy.   :biggrin_mini2:

I think you might be right!

Downloaded a quality RVD caw and after a few tweaks to the moveset it's been pretty fabulous.

Shane has the Van Terminator as a finisher, which completes it all nicely.

The TNA game wasn't bad when you were playing against other people, but the AI and match mechanics were horrid. It was hysterical to see Kevin Nash go right to the top rope as soon as the bell rang though.

I hope the AI and match execution is as good as it was in '12.

Yeah, it's pretty great. The AI isn't perfect. Like pretty much all wrestling games, you'll still get pinned after a dumb move from time to time and the AI REALLY likes to break the commentary table TV monitors. But other than that, it's wonderful.

Does anyone else feel that Ladder and Cage matches (escape only) are a bit unbalanced?

A little.  The Ladder match is more of a chore to play, then fun.

Inferno match is the worst though.
