UWF, 1986 – It’s not often that you see “Heel vs. Heel” on American wrestling television, but that’s exactly what happened in Houston Texas for Bill Watts’ UWF. Champion Terry Gordy takes on the challenge of The One Man Gang, managed by Skandor Akbar.
The original UWF was considered one of the premiere territories in the 1980’s alon with Jim Crockett Promotions Mid-Atlantic, and Verne Gagne’s AWA. The UWF bred talents like Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Ted DiBiase, Junkyard Dog, and of course The One Man Gang.
